He did actually stop. At least on twitter.

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 23/02/2021 22:47

Is he still going?

Mummyoflittledragon · 21/02/2021 18:15

That tweet is hilarious! 😂😂😂

I think many of us would gladly wave adiós to the men who wholeheartedly think TWAW to Mars with their chosen TW for companions. Good luck to them! 😂
JustTurtlesAllTheWayDown · 21/02/2021 14:10

Oh that's unintentionally funny from Djalili. It can just as easily be read as GC people telling colonists to fuck off, even as he turns up demanding admittance. Clearly not what he intended but it made me laugh.
The man is clearly something of a dim bulb.

PothoIeParadies · 21/02/2021 14:10

Oh my god.

Still going. Trying the in-plain-sight tactic now after he liked a male GCer's sarky reply.

Well clearly I was led by my inner misogyny to only like it because you appeared to be a man. I now see this is a crushing defeat. I bow to your Machiavellian techniques

Yes. We know, Omid.

His follower numbers have gone down. Not hugely but I think that says something.

Thelnebriati · 21/02/2021 11:56

So he realised it undermined his case? Unfortunately it couldn't be archived because it was a retweet, but there are screenshots.

KevinTheBird · 21/02/2021 08:38

He posted this after he’d called women Nazis but before he claimed to understand why women were upset.

He also retweeted a tweet by a trans woman shortly after the original tweet, showing he clearly knew exactly what he was saying the whole time. He’s deleted it now but it’s still showing if you click on the tweet itself. I’ll just find it.

  1. My tweet was jumped on by some connecting ‘Nazis’ to women who have been deplatformed at universities. This was not my intention. And women being silenced of course is a concern.*

It's almost an apology. C'mon Omid, you were nearly there!

The only de-platformed person quoted in the article is Selina Todd.

Why is it so difficult to say he didn’t read the article and his knowledge of the issue is limited?

Igneococcus · 21/02/2021 07:33

I hope Omid is having a careful read of Davied Baddiel's piece in the Times today:

BuntingEllacott · 20/02/2021 23:07

Does he still have a beard? I know correlation is not causation, but I wonder if there's a hormone-wash in beard hair that intensifies misogynistic arrogance. I have no evidence for this theory, but that means dick all these days.

PotholeParadies · 20/02/2021 22:54

Do you think he's apologised to David Baddiel?

nauticant · 20/02/2021 22:49

He gets "ancestors" wrong but won't own it:

twitter.com/omid9/status/1363229451409104906

and then he agrees with someone on twitter that the plural of "artiste" is "artist's".

twitter.com/omid9/status/1363246400176336898

At least for 4 day he can blame it on Saturday night exuberance.

ElBandito · 20/02/2021 22:42

He does use the "smug wee git" face a lot doesn't he? ☺️

He strikes me as cheap and nasty. Why are all these yokes mr. men showing us what goes on in their grubby minds.

nauticant · 20/02/2021 21:46

I thought he might call it a day at day 3 of his tantrum.

This one has an extremely fragile ego.

NiceGerbil · 20/02/2021 20:31

Oh man.

I wanted to be Spock when I was a little girl.

I would love to go into space.

That cuts deep Sad

As that's feelings hurt does it matter more maybe?

PotholeParadies · 20/02/2021 20:22

He's eking out the drama with another post about hypothetical martian feminists.

I don’t know why he doesn’t do the right thing, own his mistake and apologise for inappropriately labelling people who are not nazis nazis. It takes a bigger person to own mistakes, a smaller person to be bludgengly defensive

Mummyoflittledragon · 20/02/2021 08:28

Merrymouse

Just read that article. This sentence stands out:

A problem occurs when people look for something to be offended by rather than reacting to a comment that truly causes them hurt.

Oh the irony. His tweets do cause real hurt. They spread hatred. Hatred, which can cause very real hurt both physical and psychological. GC women are being threatened, beaten and abused with some needing physical protection against death threats. He fails to heed his own advice and is seeking legal address against a disabled woman with a brain injury.
