@Whatsnewpussyhat

It's amazing how much they stalk MN isn't it? Considering they think we're just an insignificant bunch of middle aged non men. I don't even like prosecco. Not a sexist stereotype at all.
TBF to Helen, IIRC she is banned from MN for being unable to stick to the talk guidelines so the only way she can reply to us is to take potshots on twitter.

Such a shame, because she clearly has lots she wishes to say to us.

Quite a few of our twitter monitors are PBP.

risefromyourgrave · 31/01/2021 08:40

Prosecco gives me a shocking headache. Innocent can sod off, I love their green smoothie, drink it every day, but I guess in lockdown I have plenty of time to make my own instead of supporting an idiotic company.

merrymouse · 31/01/2021 08:34

It’s not the feminist threads that are a threat, it’s the packed lunches threads.

merrymouse · 31/01/2021 08:33

@HettieMills

I wouldn’t worry that the transphobes on Mumsnet - aka Prosecco Stormfront

How jolly offensive. I'd take gin or sour beer over prosecco any day.

To be fair, I think MN is a drop in the ocean compared to the threat of cheaper competitors and more transparent food packaging...
WhatsYourNameMan · 31/01/2021 08:13

Well I'd rather drink prosecco than innocent smoothies. Cheers everyone. Wine

PotholeParadies · 30/01/2021 23:33

Fair enough, Errol, but she definitely has, in order to capitalise off the work anti-racism campaigners did against Stormfront. Might count as appropriation?

ErrolTheDragon · 30/01/2021 23:24

Just googled... I'd not actually heard of them that I can remember.

Honestly, it seems a bit racially insensitive of her to me. I remember when Stormfront were prominent and a major subject of discussion. Nicknaming a parenting forum that way seems very off.

Prosecco Stormfront

Weird post, but I think she's accidentally stumbled on the name for the next female lead in a James Bond film.ConfusedGrin

PotholeParadies · 30/01/2021 23:06

Helen from Mermaids is perturbed by our behaviour.

The awesome @innocent drinks is currently getting piled-on by obsessive anti-transgender cranks , all because they unfollowed a transphobic account.

And yes, of course the transphobes on the Mumsnet “feminism” forum are egging it on! 🙄

I wouldn’t worry that the transphobes on Mumsnet - aka Prosecco Stormfront - are claiming they’re no longer going to buy @Innocent smoothies (🙄) - They’ve tried that threat before...

I hate to think how much I've spent on those little smoothie pouches. And we normally have their OJ.

Not any more. Happy to switch brands.

I do spend tons on Method products, but they support a foundation whose instagram opening page provides a guide to binding.
I need to have a think.

MsTSwift · 30/01/2021 22:51

I am very much liking the cut of Margaret’s jib!

Beamur · 30/01/2021 22:47

@SeaRabbit

Well I phoned to complain and they put the phone down on me. So I called back and am still waiting for the promised email or call. Humph.
Seriously? God that's a feeble response. Easy to diss someone on Twatter, bit trickier to explain why in person, to a real actual person.
FemaleAndLearning · 30/01/2021 22:44

I've been buying a 10 pack of their smoothies every week, sometimes on offer in Tesco at £5.99. I'll be stopping that now. Bowing down to spam bullies is shockingly nieave. I will be happily spending my money on different brands from now on.

HettieMills · 30/01/2021 22:29

Goodness they're childish little wankers. Perhaps we should deploy the tactics of the TRAs where they put a call out across the world and get everyone to ring them until they back down. (I don't really mean that btw)

@LakeGeneva

We want to respect, support and look after people ...

...by giving them diabetes. Hurrah.

That's my joke! I say it at work when there is too much cakes and sweet stuff being given to us... the gift of diabetes.

HettieMills · 30/01/2021 17:24

by giving them diabetes. Hurrah.

😂

"We want to respect, support and look after people, especially the protected characteristics of race, disability, gender, LGBTQ+, mental health, religion, belief and age (or anything else that’s important to someone).

Not sex, I see. 'gender'. They've also made up some of those protected characteristics.

Also 'anything else that's important to someone' - what, anything?

The premise of human rights is that they are applicable to all regardless of whether an individual deserves respect, and that they relate to basics like right to an education, right to a fair trial, right to political representation.

Companies like innocent reduce them to a self help meme.

Yep. It's as meaningful as 'be yourself' or 'follow your dreams'.

HettieMills · 30/01/2021 17:00

If Innocent sent me a lot of smoothies the local food bank would benefit

I think they owe you a grovelling public apology, not a load of their unhealthy drinks. 😉

justanotherneighinparadise · 30/01/2021 16:48

Enjoyed that Twitter link 😀

This cult of the individual needs some serious sunlight.

Definitely.
