Love this bit-"cisgender people ought never to speak over trans people when seeking to define transphobia."

In that sentence, they're labeling us 'cis' because they want to, and with no agreement to that on the part of those who are cised, then they say that those who are directly affected by something are those whose voices should be heard above others...

SNP looks like it's tottering about unsteadily just now. Not happy about this - I'm not a member nor a supporter but we need a steady bloody government to get us through the next few months, whoever they are.

Wouldn't it be great to hear Nicola discuss these issues without recourse to the term "transphobia", so she'd have to break things down into what she's REALLY saying? Give us the precise statements we're not allowed to disagree with, and the precise statements you're labelling as "phobic". Make a video saying "I don't condone women having spaces (and mention sports, awards, prisons and crisis centres) in which they can decline access to biological males". Make a video saying this, and then see how fluffy and kind it sounds.

None of us condones transphobia under any meaningful, reasonable definition of it.

Yes, that’s what I told him. He is now equally horrified. He’s an independence supporting, laid back, live and let live, bloke, so had no idea of what’s afoot. The forensic examination stuff shocked him too.

And the big problem is that groups like OFI get unelected places on the NEC. From what I have seen Leeze is fairly representative of OFI members in their misogyny.

The SNP's position on trans issues seems to be crazed, deranged , unacceptable- what does that tell you about the SNP?

That it has become a vehicle for TRAs in much the same way as the Greens and the Lib Dems.

Or perhaps Greens are also “crazed.” These terms of abuse are derogatory towards people with MH conditions, by the way, and do the poster no credit.
