I wasn't sure if posting the title of the video would break the board rules, so just linking to it here.

Grin I never tell anyone I post here.

They'd hate me for it.

I hate myself for it.

BuntingEllacott · 09/01/2021 12:09

Well some of us are pretty smug and complacent, tbh. I'm not getting it on a t-shirt or anything, but, you know, not everyone who posts on MN is an hilarious raconteur like me...Grin

ArabellaScott · 09/01/2021 11:08

Here she is on Mumsnet.

MNers are smug complacent bitches, apparently. [waving]

Also 'how to be a Karen'.

Lazy. Her newer sketch seemed much more sharply observed.

Keep looking closely, Mary.

Helmetbymidnight · 09/01/2021 11:00

Oh I didn't agree with what she said about poor old Neil Ferguson either.

I like her for saying it though. She's funny, agree with the views or not.

newyearnewname123 · 09/01/2021 10:38

she absolutely slams Mumsnetters.

Maybe we should go to the comedy ombudsman. Grin

Molesmokes · 09/01/2021 07:13

YouTube suggested this video to me and I had never heard of Mary Bourke before - brilliant, so funny!

Here comes the “but” . . .

but then I looked for another video to watch and the first one I found she absolutely slams Mumsnetters. Harsh! Stereotypes to the max Sad

I still think this one is great though 👍

Pudmyboy · 08/01/2021 22:33

Thank you! I love Smurf also, great response, will definitely use it if ever challenged by the other term...what a breath of fresh air!

PaleBlueMoonlight · 08/01/2021 20:54

This is great. How did I not know this woman?!

Thehollyandtheirony · 08/01/2021 18:05

Brilliant! Thanks for sharing.

MoltenLasagne · 08/01/2021 13:04

Genuinely laughed at that. Thanks for sharing.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 08/01/2021 10:48

We need a bit of light heartedness to manage the misery of it all.

She's brilliant. Hope her husband is ok.

nauticant · 08/01/2021 07:57

I was very tickled at her description of what an audience in Hoxton looks like. I won't spoil it for anyone who listens on to the very good part about hecklers.

SunsetBeetch · 08/01/2021 07:39

Fantastic!

StrippedFridge · 08/01/2021 07:28

I also loved the idea of the comedy ombudsman with the panel of an Englishman, an Irish man and a Scotsman.

NonnyMouse1337 · 08/01/2021 00:50

Glad you all enjoyed it! I needed the laugh... Grin

I hadn't heard of her before either but will be following her now and hopefully see some shows by her in future.

I’d better go I have a child in the car 😂😂😂

Helmetbymidnight · 07/01/2021 10:54

Brilliant. Love the SMURF....

Good for her.

Lottapianos · 07/01/2021 10:43

Loved this. Had never heard of her before. Owen Jones as 'a spiteful little boy'. Perfect

BuntingEllacott · 07/01/2021 10:39

I'm still tickled by the idea of comedy ombudsman committee made up of an Englishman, and Irishman, a horse with a long face and a chicken crossing a road.

Datun · 07/01/2021 09:47

Interesting that she said her routine has already been booed elsewhere (ok it's Hoxton). But she's still carrying on dong it. Looks like it might be cheered more than booed.

Sn0tnose · 07/01/2021 09:23

Bloody brilliant! Thank you.

MadamBatty · 07/01/2021 09:04

Thanks for posting. I’ve never seen her before, really great.

SkeeterP · 07/01/2021 08:47

That’s well worth a watch .. funny all the way through to the end Grin
