I sent the link to this to my teens earlier. DS1s (16) reply was "No. Just No!" Followed swiftly by "why would you teach children that an out of control penis that steals their ice-creams is ok?"

It is that one of the criticisms routinely levelled at GC feminists is that they are genitally fixated (which is incorrect and completely misses the point obvs), when we all know, as evidenced by the fact that they've finally managed to make a kids cartoon all about one, that men are utterly obsessed with their penises.

It's us. We're all on a moral panic. I've seen several posts on FB and it's full of laughing faces, even from women. We are the joyless scolds, I guess. I despair.

Has anyone seen this programme? Must admit I'm curious. I can imagine small children, or at least some of them, would find it hilarious. The very idea gives me the ick, though, normalising or making light of Dillermand's behaviour.

When a woman in the show tells him that he should keep his penis in his pants, for instance, he listens. Which is nice. He is accountable.

So does this woman in the show come across as a scold, a killjoy, the boring bossy person who polices societal norms - or is she also a warm person who does useful things and has a character of her own?
