The Conservative party are just as much in thrall to their LGBT+ groups as all the other parties. Here is a member of an official affiliated group attacking women who do not believe in their ideology. Use of hate speech and even an insinuation that Liz Truss is behind the website. Good grief. There have been a number of complaints about this group yet nothing sticks. Teflon indeed.

Seems Elena finds this reasonable statement 'disgusting'. Would be interesting to hear exactly why the desire to utilise our sex-based rights is unacceptable to the chair of the Conservative LGBT+ group.

I'd quibble over 'just as much in thrall' - don't recall the last leadership contenders being press ganged into signing declarations - but I do agree with the broad point. This is after all the party that has the power, quite possibly for another 9 years, and it would be pretty surprising if lobbyists weren't working on them too.
Johnson has a reputation for disliking unpopular decisions and I can imagine him desperately casting around right now for anything that looks like a quick win, so we need to stay alert I think.
I did smile at that tweeter being called 'Bunbury'!

Oh look, we are all flying monkeys! Most of the responses to that offensive tweet were posted before I posted on here, but do keep monitoring us Mimmy
