Shock
AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/12/2020 20:45

In that case I shall play dirty. Stringfellow's Rules, and Cockfosters to you all!

ArabellaScott · 09/12/2020 20:10

I will second the challenge, it seems a bit unfair to saddle latecomers with the straddle, especially when they won't know to sit sideways or forwards or what to do with the ballast.

I believe that brings us back to Marlyebone, though I might be losing my touch!

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/12/2020 20:09

But Michelle, it's a Wednesday in Advent: Carruthers (1937) is clear that the straddle is legitimate.

MichelleofzeResistance · 09/12/2020 19:59

I am sorry but I have to challenge that move, Asking

You have come at it from behind without a recognised googly station, which makes it silly mid off.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/12/2020 19:54

Leaving the straddle for the picking. Oval.

CaraDuneRedux · 09/12/2020 19:36

Barbican. Classy.

Hmmm.

No, it's late and I'm tired. Machiavellian manoeuvres elude me. I'm going to have to go for the obvious.

South Kensington.

PotholeParadies · 09/12/2020 19:15

Nice reversal. In that case as it's a Wednesday in Advent, I'll go for the Barbican.

highame · 09/12/2020 17:49

Sorry, my mistake, had forgotten the Mackerel protocol. Euston to Warren Street

highame · 09/12/2020 17:45

Mornington Crescent

MichelleofzeResistance · 09/12/2020 16:14

Damnit, that's Kensington blocked....

No option left but Camden Town.

CaraDuneRedux · 09/12/2020 15:48

The Mackerel protocol? During Advent? Hmm

[Mutters darkly about the yoof of today]

Crystal Palace.

CatsCantCatchCriminals2 · 09/12/2020 14:17

Cockfosters to St John's Wood, obviously (using the Mackerel protocol).

Wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 09/12/2020 13:15

Welcome back Kit.

ArabellaScott · 08/12/2020 18:36

Glad to see you back, Kit.

littlbrowndog · 08/12/2020 15:54

Hi kit

Good to see you back. 🍾

HecatesCatsInXmasHats · 08/12/2020 15:51

@Kit19

I got a ban after someone went back though my old posts and reported them so having just got back, I have to be careful now....
Hi Kit 👋
WaveWalker · 08/12/2020 15:47

@AskingQuestionsAllTheTime :D

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 08/12/2020 15:43

It was real tragedy when they closed Mornington Crescent station for a while. Quite spoiled the game.

I once found we were playing it with real stations. (In a car, WaveWalker, but I know you weren't one of the other people in it.) I always get lost behind Euston.

MedusasBadHairDay · 08/12/2020 15:34

Oh I hate typing on my phone, autocorrect breaks everything

MedusasBadHairDay · 08/12/2020 15:33

I don't understand Morningside Crescent at all, and it still makes more logical sense than certain other posters today.

I'm only engaging because I needed some distraction today.

picklemewalnuts · 08/12/2020 14:50

Apologies, I've found the thread. Only twitter's gone 'poof' then.

picklemewalnuts · 08/12/2020 14:48

Sorry to jump in all unannounced but... did the UN post go? I was reading it and the Twitter thread, was called away, and on returning 'poof'! 'Twas like it had all been a dream.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/12/2020 14:12

Well, that's apt enough.

I'm hesitant about this one.... Canada Water

(I've had to expand my game a bit since I first played online in about 1984. The same period and set of forums where I realised feminism was still necessary)

MaudTheInvincible · 08/12/2020 14:11

@DannyGlickWindowTapping

I'm expecting a "crumbs!" or even a "criminy!" on some of those threads. Do we have a wide-eyed gormless innocent emoji?

In homage to the new posters and their threads, I will invoke Beginner for 10 clause 3 and take us to Barking.

Hear hear!
