Looks like they're gunning for gay men now. Anything other than complete agreement is no good.

Readers here will be used to this sort of insanity:

I wonder if it will wake up those who have not seen it before?

Worth a try lol

Winesalot · 29/11/2020 20:38

Good plan.

PotholeParadies · 29/11/2020 20:35

Do we need to get this to the next page?

Quaagars · 29/11/2020 19:59

Another test - why can't we open the last page, what's going on

DeaconBoo · 29/11/2020 19:57

Testing, testing, something is up with this thread. Has it been zzapped?

Quaagars · 29/11/2020 19:25

1. Criticising someone’s arguments is not a personal attack
Nobody's said otherwise.

2. Asking people to keep their personal sexual preferences to themselves is not a personal attack
3. Telling people to not bringing their genitalia into discussions is not a personal attack.

See - this - when someone is speculating about you personally, and what you do or don't do with your own genitalia - how is it them the one bringing it up?! Are they just supposed to let it slide and not put right, and pretend that people aren't doing such a thing?

4. Questioning a link leading to something fundamentally different than purported is not a personal attack
OK, not sure what this is referring to, but fair enough

5. Disagreeing with someone about what is age appropriate is not a personal attack
Nobody said otherwise

CoffeeTeaChocolate · 29/11/2020 19:19

I will say this again as it is somehow still unclear.

  1. Criticising someone’s arguments is not a personal attack.

  5. Disagreeing with someone about what is age appropriate is not a personal attack.

However, it appears to have been a personal attack above. I am happy that it was deleted. Personal attacks should not be a part of any discussions.

TinselAngel · 29/11/2020 19:18

@Quaagars

Not all personal attacks do get zapped though. What about the ones that insinuate things about a posters sex life like on this thread and then when person questions it - get told "stop it, no-one asked?" and that they're imagining things - so it definitely seems OK for that to be allowed to happen.
Report it yourself and find out why?

See! Your post has just been zapped.

Just report any personal attacks, and MNHQ will take action, honestly.

christinarossetti19 · 29/11/2020 19:12

As I said to jj1968 please report personal attacks. MNHQ do delete them, as has just happened.

Making vague allegations about 'personal attacks' but not being able to identify exactly what they are is what posters sometimes do when they haven't got an argument to make.

Quaggars I don't think MNHQ permit people quoting personal attacks from posts that have been deleted and saying that they're true.

Especially when the quote is an easy to prove proven lie.

christinarossetti19 · 29/11/2020 19:03

See what happened to your last post jj1968?

It was deleted for making a personal attack.

You can have this happen to all of the posts that you're claiming are attacking you simply by pressing the report button.

accusing people of lying is not in the spirit

especially when they don't

you're welcome

Quaagars · 29/11/2020 18:59

Datun is one of the most respected posters on FWR. You're not going to win many friends here with that attitude

Hmm Grin
Heaven forbid ever disagree with, WTAF lol

TinselAngel · 29/11/2020 18:53

In fact don't bother, all you do is lie and snipe and there doesn't seem much point engaging with you.

PotholeParadies · 29/11/2020 18:48

Halloween Grin Great. Now I can't stop sniggering and the cats are staring at me!
midgebabe · 29/11/2020 18:41

In that case jj you need to be careful how you word your posts to improve clarity

  1. Why would anyone assume that a general discussion about what is appropriate to teach children in Sex ED have anything to do with them? Or feel the need to drag their own genitalia into it?
  1. Quoting someone and disagreeing with them is not a personal attack.
  1. Age appropriate is in the eye of the beholder. I do not think a strap on should be discussed in school or brought into school. Others might find those age appropriate at a relatively early age. I think the school should have the safety, respect and boundaries approach discussed here. I don’t care what other people find age appropriate or what they discuss with their children at home. That is at the parent’s discretion to a large extent. As is screen usage, what films are appropriate at a certain age, etc, etc.
WaveWalker · 29/11/2020 18:32

Using gloves for fingers isn't just a lesbian or LGB issue.

WaveWalker · 29/11/2020 18:31

Telling anyone giving oral sex to a woman to use a dental dam is not just about leabian sex.

Datun · 29/11/2020 18:30

Telling children they can catch an STI from something other than a body part, it's not the same as teaching them how to use a strap on.
