Mary Anning Rocks need to get from £22,000 to their target if £100,000 to fund their statue of the pioneering paleontologist in Lyme Regis. The artist - Denise Dutton - seems to know how to create public monuments. She sculpted the Annie Kenny statue in Bolton in the picture. Link here: www.crowdfunder.co.uk/maryanningrocks

£100,000! I know it's important to commemorate female figures but that money could surely be spent better!

The Annie Kenny statue is in Oldham not Bolton.

The novel Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier is excellent. Review here:

There are a few book recommendations on A Mighty Girl. I bought Stone girl, bone girl for my daughters, they really enjoy the story, but it may be a little young for a 10 year old

@GrinitchSpinach

My DCs enjoyed this book

She's clothed!

Jokes aside, I hope they reach the goal.

Can anyone recommend a Mary Anning book, either fictionalized or completely factual, for my science-loving daughters aged 10 and under? Thanks!
