I don't think this is transphobic

Hi all,

I just wanted opinions really as I may be in the wrong but there was a lot of discussion on Poland and the abortion laws on Twitter and someone I follow retweeted a tweet from a man who said abortion is immoral blah blah and she quoted friends and said "no uterus no opinion" and personally I think even if you do have a uterus you can't really dictate what other people do but all of a sudden this person said she was being transphobic and it's trans hate to say that - I mean I didn't think it was, is it? I just feel like when anything's referred to women it's transphobic no matter what it is, trans women will never have to make the decision whether to have an abortion or not so I don't see how something regarding abortion can be transphobic - I thought I'd ask here as people are way more intelligent than me haha and can maybe explain if I'm wrong or not.

Thank you x

The rules are simple.

If a TRA or an Stonewall-approved organisation says "uterus haver" or something about people with uteruses and a woman complain, the woman is transphobic.

If a gender critical woman says "uterus haver" or something about people with uteruses, then TRAs can say that the woman is transphobic.

What she said had precisely nothing to do with trans people. Except that it was a form of words which would include transmen and female 'nonbinaries' so was if anything 'transphilic'.

Feel like TRAs are now just throwing the word transphobic around for fun. They cant find enough actual transphobic behaviour and are just desperately trying to make everything about them

Anything mildly womens rights based and they just cant cope. And its not an assualt on womens rights at all, oh no

No, it's not transphobic at all. Mysteriously, some people are very happy to use the term for no discernible reason.

Surely its uterus carriers not women who have abortions?
Is this not the speech trans want us to have ffs.

TheSockMonster · 05/11/2020 20:56

I would think it was actually a trans-inclusive way to put it, as it makes no assumption of gender at all.

No it is definately not transphobic, trans people with a uterus are included.
