"People with vaginas"? So can we also say "people with penises"?

@Flapjak

If i am a person with a vagina, then (most) transwomen are people with penises! Wouldnt want to offend anyone by labelling them by their sex or gender identity . We need to start a petition to get this ratified in parliament.
Well exactly. They're supposedly degrading us for the benefit of transmen and non binary people, which suggests that demographic are happy with this (even though a vagina is exclusive to females and we're told female terms like 'woman' and 'mother' are triggering yet vagina somehow isn't, but that's the woowoo logic for you.)

But can you actually imagine referring to a transman/woman in person like this? "Excuse me, you there-the person with the vagina/penis, come here please." Hell would be raised, I'm sure, but when it comes to being downright rude to women, we just have to suck it up.

I would have thought transman and transwoman would be much more dignified terms, but apparently not. So from now on, I'll refer to transwomen as people with penises and transmen as people with vaginas, whilst the rest of us can get on with being women and men. They want to be disrespectful, let's do it, I'll fucking play.

"Muslim ejaculators wanted for study into religious practices in West London".

"Ideas and opinions sought from people with penises into the work practices of barristers in London and Manchester".

"Gay models with penises sought for council advertising campaign".

PurpleHoodie · 03/11/2020 16:22

"People with penises are going to watch a football match whilst their partners stay at home".

"People with penises are wanted for forklift jobs in West London. Must have licence".

"People with penises wanted for questionnaire"

"Ejaculators wanted for study into urban farm practices".

"Ejaculators wanted for medical study".

So in the midst of a global pandemic THIS is what "people with NHS jobs" (see what I did there) are paid to do?

Aesopfable · 03/11/2020 15:16

@PearPickingPorky

When we start talking about subgroups of women do we still have to do the genital thing?

Muslims with vaginas?

Lesbians with vaginas?

Vagina'd ethnic minorities?

Of course not! That would be exclusionary.
PurpleHoodie · 03/11/2020 15:14

Fantastic point Pear!

That question deserves it's own thread.

Question for politicians, Why is the NHS is sending citizens to TeenVogue? TeenVogue’s readership = 95% adult men, and TeenVogue sexualises pubescent girls. And Why is the NHS using dehumanising language again. That's a well deserved ratio.

Ugh - a lot wrong here
I’m not really sure why the NHS are posting about virginity-is it a health problem? The cartoon is crass. Why only female virginity?
Virgin is a word for someone who hasn’t had sex HOWEVER the fact that virginity means something (mainly for girls) is a sexist construct

CallieOp · 03/11/2020 11:17

Our local NHS had interviews with staff members for pride week.

One transgender woman who doesn’t present as female all the time “because it isn’t practical for work”. Blew my fucking mind, desperately wanted to know which parts of working in IT aren’t practical for females

Imnobody4 · 03/11/2020 11:14

This is a reminder to me to fill in the Hate Crimes consultation. If misogyny is recognised I'll be reporting this kind of crap to the police, then they'll be sorry and will have to sort it out.

@ThinEndOfTheWedge

Yay! Teen vogue

Great - the NHS is now in cahoots with a magazine actively trying to pornify girlhood.

That to me is the more worrying aspect. I mean, it's all shit.
ImaginaryCat · 03/11/2020 09:21

Fuck, another time I agree with Piers bloody Morgan... my brain is fried.

littlbrowndog · 03/11/2020 09:09

And yes why are they promoting a commercial magazine

Teen Vogue? FFS

Aesopfable · 03/11/2020 08:18

Why is the nhs advertising a commercial magazine? Especially a dubious one like that?

PurpleHoodie · 03/11/2020 07:32

Teen Vogue is banned in this household.

thereplycamefromanchorage · 03/11/2020 07:20

Utterly depressing and dehumanising.

JellySlice · 03/11/2020 06:55

DO Use the same pronouns that the person refers to themselves as

So I should be referring to people as "I, me" etc? Could get a bit confusing.
