Yup. As soon as women say no to men - everything's our fault. Uppity women not knowing our place.

chilling19 · 03/11/2020 11:47

Oh I see. Everything is all so obviously our fault. 🙄

Because Chilling, the 50 GC women in the world on FWR are single handedly responsible for the collapse of the tourist industry, the pandemic, Trump and every single right wing politician in the world. And men self identifying as women have been sharing women's toilets for centuries and none of us have ever noticed.

It's amazing what women are responsible for when saying no to men determined to share spaces where women and girls are vulnerable. Quite an "education" this thread has been Grin

chilling19 · 03/11/2020 11:17

Why are we talking about the tourist industry? Have I missed something?

and will destroy the tourist industry. Don't forget that.

Having dipped into the thread re loo on Californian road trip with a DD, I'd imagine a lot of tourists - often families and very often older people - would be absolutely delighted to be assured of a mix of single sex and properly designed any sex loos.

Sexnotgender · 03/11/2020 10:30

Ooh, us nasty women with boundaries are destroying the tourist industry?!

But I thought we were a powerless minority? This is all so confusing for my delicate lady brain.

Datun · 03/11/2020 10:17

@Ereshkigalangcleg

A review is announced with Lord Jenrick saying "we have listened to women" and the response to that here is 15 pages of gaslighting about how illegal, awful, unsupported, unpopular and expensive female only toilets are.

Just read through and that's an accurate summary.

...and will destroy the tourist industry. Don't forget that.

Snort.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 03/11/2020 10:08

Told you it's a dead cert.

Well calledWineThanks

Ereshkigalangcleg · 03/11/2020 10:04

Transwomen are members of the group which commit 98% of all sexual assaults so unless you have evidence to exclude them I believe the evidence already exists that as males they are a danger to women.

Exactly. And that's without considering other harms like sexual harassment and allowing males to display their dominance over women by violating their boundaries, and riding roughshod over their privacy and dignity. The misogyny is baked in.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 03/11/2020 10:01

Still waiting for that evidence that some males who identify as women are less dangerous than other males.

You'll be waiting a while.

[quote Winesalot]Just saw NotBadConsidering posted this link on another thread. (Thanks NotBadConsidering). Maybe it will be useful for those posters who think all is ok in Ireland and Argentina.

Or maybe those posters will hand wave it away as with anything that doesn’t fit their cause.

I’m sure there will be some reason this is dismissed as absolutely fine. No evidence is ever enough.

jj has also failed to address the issues of dignity and privacy for women on this thread. Including those of a religion that are then excluded. Although there has been posters who have reminded us that these women should sort their shit out and stop belonging to that religion. (Hint: there is probably a larger proportion of these women than we think that cannot just magically leave these religions.)

By jj’s own logic, there’s nothing stopping TW from choosing to stop manifesting their belief that you can be born in the wrong body, that gender is a real thing (not socially constructed) and that you can change sex and reverting to male presentation, names and socialisation so they can safely use the men’s facilities*. See, two can play that game.

  • Not that there’s been evidence presented that this isn’t the case already.

I clicked the link, @NiceGerbil - thank you for the reassurance.
It did make me laugh, but his balaclava face is soooooo unsettling- I guess that's the point though!

Thank you Smile

there's a lot to digest from the first article at least...

NiceGerbil · 03/11/2020 03:09

Facefull the link I posted is aok honest.

Facefullofcake · 03/11/2020 03:09

Sorry, I was trying to be tongue in cheek with the birthing parent comment.

I should have said the performance ive read about where Bowery (as himself) simulated giving birth to Nicola Bateman. The sausages and umbilical cord chewing is what I'm scared of.

It's described under performance art on his wiki, in case anyone's wondering what on earth I'm rambling about.

It is late Grin

Facefullofcake · 03/11/2020 03:00

*whether barbie is in isolation - the 'she' was unintentional

Facefullofcake · 03/11/2020 02:59

In mid October, Barbie was remanded in a women's prison in Limerick. I'm not sure whether that is continuing / whether she is in isolation etc. @DidoLamenting

NiceGerbil · 03/11/2020 02:54

He was not a happy person is fair to say.

The link I posted is like 2 mins and definitely safe.

NiceGerbil · 03/11/2020 02:53

?

Bowery was a chap. No persons stuff.

Have I missed what you're saying? It is late! So
possible.

Facefullofcake · 03/11/2020 02:50

I'm of the generation where Minty was my introduction to Bowery, that and reading about him in the NME (mid 90s). I've heard about but never seen footage of his being a birthing parent thing, and as a result am always wary of checking his stuff out because I'm not sure it's something I want to see, going by the description. .

NiceGerbil · 03/11/2020 02:50

Heh the South of Watford ones are awesome.

TBH the whole shading thing that was the makeup fashion... Came from drag.

So women adopted makeup that was used to make men look more like women...?

I'm old though.

Let the kids have their fun.

Not Barbie though obviously. What happened. Are they in prison? In a men's prison or a secure place or something? Somewhere with no access to women.

Terrible childhood but a clear, accepted, massive danger to women.

Anyway. Sidetrack.
