@ArabellaScott

Well, just so long as none of the inmates in the women's prison turn out to be people with a record of violent crime, all will be fine.
Yes. Here's hoping Hmm

Typical situation: government, under the influence of transactivist zealots, brings in a crazy law, without giving any thought to the consequences...

And some poor sod on the ground is left with an impossible job, and unecessarily at risk to boot.

This ideology is sick.

Repeat after me...

There are no problems with self id in Ireland

Sadly, things won't change until something really bad happens Sad

ArabellaScott · 19/10/2020 20:30

Yes, Even, I suppose a programme of 're-education' is the most likely outcome, isn't it?

What will actually happen is that women will be forced to search them. Because, reasons.

EvenSupposing · 19/10/2020 20:27

No. I don't think you have read this properly,

There. Are. No. Problems. With. Self. ID. In. Ireland.

HTH

SweetGrapes · 19/10/2020 20:26

There's no problems in Ireland.... land of milk and honey and self id...

Move along... nothing to see here

SisyphusAndTheRockOfUntidiness · 19/10/2020 20:23

One possible solution would be to have male security officers who are genderfluid or ttans or something. So they can reasonably say they do not identify specifically as male. Who's to argue otherwise?

persistentwoman · 19/10/2020 20:22

Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practise to deceive...

Presumably the outcome of this is that women in prison and staff are all less safe because of these practices. Just as they are in British prisons.
