I do agree with the premise that Harrop’s trans allyship is performative though - it seems
to me that he doesn’t actually want to support or help anyone, just wants an acceptable outlet and approval for his misogyny.

Indeed, the screenshot chosen by the is from that exchange. Describing him as using 'textbook terf arguments' about why people should be allowed to be gay is spot on but, as PPs say, this parody is far too unsubtle- they are struggling to hide how silly they find it all.
