It's fucking sick. An absolute joke. Woman haters everywhere are seriously going to be getting off on this

It's like throwing a fox into your chicken coop and just blindly trusting it won't touch the chickens.

I know much value isn't placed on women, but women in prison even less so :( The results are going to be sickening.

@nauticant If I was an officer in one of those prisons, I think I'd be "identifying" as something other than a woman... It would be "transphobic" to question it, after all.

But I'd stopped laughing when I got to this:

The law also requires officers to address transgender inmates based on the pronouns of their choice. And it requires officers to search inmates based on the search policy of their gender identity.

I actually laughed when I read this:

The law Newsom signed Saturday says officers must ask inmates privately during the intake process if they identify as transgender, nonbinary or intersex. Those inmates can then request to be placed in a facility that houses either men or women.

It's not going to be a laughing matter for some of the women though.

Female prisoners are incredibly vulnerable; it's cruel and unusual punishment to incarcerate them with males.

Transmen are unlikely to choose to be housed in the male estate, and if they do, are going to have a very difficult time of it in prison.

So this is a law that is designed to prioritise males. Males who wish to be incarcerated with women.

California has lost it's mind, along with any progressive credentials it might wish to claim. It is not progressive to force women to be incarcerated with men. It's deep misogyny.
