Hi, I don't post often, but I've seen the awful twitter trend today in regard to J K Rowling, I just feel so scared and defeated about women's rights, why are more people not up in arms and defending us? I also fear for her and women's safety, as some of these TRA's seem really unhinged.

The thing is, the likes of Prick News, Paris Lees, Owen Jones etc are all going to have to read the book now before they publicly comment further to avoid looking like uninformed idiots. Brilliant

I have only read Cuckoo's Calling, I really enjoyed it but I don't want to read Troubled Blood because I am also interested in Strike and Robins stories as well so I don't want to skip!

I did think about referring to the trans debacle and debunking it, but overall felt that it was actually demeaning to the book and JKR to even reference it.

Right I'd better log off and show my DH some acknowledgment he exists between having had hours binge reading Strike 5 and posting on here .

I’m shocked - we’ll not really - unsurprised by the nonsense spouted in the media over the new book that they most likely haven’t read (the Standard and CNN for two) the latter quoting mermaids and P Lees on the subject. Talk about one-sided propaganda.

And my review is now live - somewhat outing posting that here given only 7 reviews as I type but I'm far from the only "Emma" in the U.K. and frankly I'm starting to be beyond giving any fucks

...and proving the Guardian is posting bollocks is worth it....

Amazon have had to suspend reviews on the book after a pile on of negative reviews and the guardian in their usual cuntish way have said that no one should judge a book on a single review but she’s a horrible transphobe so its her own fault really

Well I've just gone on to Amazon and managed to submit a review.

Got the same message as usual saying it may take some to time verify my review against my purchase (usually less than 24hours) but no notice that reviews were suspended.
