Been thinking of her. I remember reading she was ostracised at university because of her beliefs. That must have been tough.

What a brilliant mind she had, cutting through all the bullshit with such dry humour. I never met her, but I am very proud of the fact that I became involved with feminist activism in no small part due to her influence, and was privileged enough to be able to send a personal message to her family at her funeral.

She is the epitome of courage to me - burning very bright through the toughest of times. There's a quote from Gladiator: What we do in life echoes in eternity. I'm not sure I believe in eternity, but I do believe that Magdalen's life will echo for a long time yet.
