[quote yourhairiswinterfire]Anyone got the contact number for one of these far right religious groups that are funding women? Wink Tell 'em they might need to bung us a couple more quids, she's considering suing mimmymum for libel.

I don't think being accused by mimmymum - famous for unsuccessfully taking a transwoman to court for transphobia - could possibly constitute a written defamation:
A defamatory statement is one which injures the reputation of another person: it "tends to lower him in the estimation of right-thinking members of society generally"

I'd have thought it would tend to have the opposite effect tbh.

I'll be here waiting! Wine

Somewhat unrelated, but if anyone ever does end up in town, go see the Women of Steel statue outside City Hall. It's always lovely to watch people linking arms while having photos taken. Smile

Love it!

ForeverFaithless · 12/09/2020 20:32

OMG that was just fabulous!!

I so wish I could go to her pub for a few pints of cider

PurpleHoodie · 12/09/2020 18:52

Be more Liz.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 12/09/2020 18:38

Yessss. Just fucking...... Yessssss.

Sometimes, but only exceptionally occasionally, I wish I was still on Twitter – it's that void between your twat and your shitter for clarification – so that I could read this stuff. However, like the awesome Liz, I'm also a supposed 'transphobe' as I refused to endorse the TWAW mantra and consequently got banned. Meh! It's a cesspit of toxic masculinity and misogyny for the most part so I'm cool with that.

For those wishing to visit Sheffield, I'd love to welcome you all to the Steel City. I'm not a real ale drinker – in fact I'm TT – but guess where I'll be supping my OJ tomorrow?

Three cheers for Liz at The Harlequin Flowers

A MN trip to Sheffied would be great Grin

PurpleHoodie · 12/09/2020 18:13

Applause

She is wonderful.

Didn't realise she was the same woman under attack from those snide arse Labour councillors.

@Whatwouldrowando

That is stunning. I'm saving her reply to reread when I need cheering up.

I genuinely would love a Mumsnet trip to Sheffield and this pub! (Covid guidelines permitting.) Anyone up for it? I'm in London. Grin

I would be up for this too. We could all go up on the train wearing ‘I love JKR’ t-shirts.😁

Me too. 😁 I used to go over to England @ 4 times a year, to visit one of my kids. When things are back to normal, I’m calling in. P.s. like a good Mumsnet mother, I stay in a hotel and my boy meets my youngest and I for dinner and drinks, when it suits him. Strangely, it’s every evening! 🤔 I’m sure it’s noting to do with me paying. 😆

Brilliant letter

Thisbastardcomputer · 11/09/2020 18:25

It's a great pub, been in many times

EarthSight · 11/09/2020 16:10

@DeliciouslyFemale

The responses the pub twitter account are hilarious. I actually think the usual suspects are too afraid to go up against her online. She’d chew them up and spit them out. 🤣
Haha. I think she would ! 😂😂😂
highame · 11/09/2020 16:07

thanks for that nauticant, that's more smiling than I needed Grin was still laughing and Liz's letter

Isn't it strange how GC people, when they stand up and holler get more business, more acolades, (sometimes more shit ) more everything. It's good for business if only the co-op and virgin gyms etc got their brains thinking

ButterflyBitch · 11/09/2020 15:45

That was amazing Grin

They truely hate women who don't do as they're told.

They also have zero clue about the real world.
