around the guidance for the Equality Act 2010, and is crowdfunding for a judicial review. Thought I ought to spread the word.

(I'm not suggesting anyone tries to eat an elephant, btw)

@Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons

Bumping to try to chip away at that £60k!

It's how you eat an elephant or something isn't it? Bite by bite

Bumping to try to chip away at that £60k!

Just donated in gratitude for Ann's strength and bravery.

Crikey that £60000 looks big! I wish I was rich.

That is great news. I am so sad though that people are having to give their hard earned cash to try and make the people in charge uphold the law.
So much money is potentially being diverted from important causes like improving disabled care and access and mental health charities etc and to what end? There are no winners here.
It would be very interesting to compare income levels for various charitable categories, especially as so many have been hugely affected by c19.
I would hope to see that the overall drop in income is evenly spread but I am concerned that it isn’t.

£20,006 reached.
Now has a stretch target of £60,000

teawamutu · 29/08/2020 23:56

It's massively heartening to see the crowd funders succeed; not from shadowy right wing cash, but thousands of people putting their hands in their pockets when they can sometimes ill afford to.

It gives me hope.

334bu · 29/08/2020 23:25

Less than 100 now

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 29/08/2020 22:48

There should be a stretch target afterwards. Do you get the time left over from the original amount or does it just roll?

£19801

Just putting my spade away. £19,776!!!!!

BlackeyedSusan · 29/08/2020 22:39

So close!

Aesopfable · 29/08/2020 22:32

Can’t stop when it gets to £20k though - that is just for starters

crunchermuncher · 29/08/2020 22:31

Over 19k now - only 269 quid to go! This is amazing!

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 29/08/2020 22:30

A little bump for late nighters. Nearly there.

CheeryTreeBlossom · 29/08/2020 20:18

Just did some gardening, less than £500 to go now.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 29/08/2020 19:53

I love the comments on it. So many people talking about the importance of this, and linking it explicitly to their concern for their children's future. I know how they feel.

@TheFleegleHasLanded

This one really is crucial; so much of the 'advice' disseminated to government organisations and commercial companies across the whole of the UK originated from the EHRC and the GEO.

They have 'quietly' changed things and deleted things; this is not good enough. They must be made to deliver correct advice and admit, loudly, that the previous guidance was unlawful. They must contact everyone who has used their advice and tell them they were wrong and it must be discarded.

Only then will people begin to wake up.

Agree, very loudly and very clearly.

I suppose it can seem dry, but Ann Sinnott replied to me earlier on twitter, & I felt all special Star

OvaHere · 29/08/2020 19:01

So pleased this is getting the traction it deserves. I was a little worried when it first went up because policy and detail can be a little 'dry' it might not do as well as some other funders. It's this stuff that's so important though and it's great so many people recognise that.

LittleCabbage · 29/08/2020 18:56

Have dug. Nearly there!

yourhairiswinterfire · 29/08/2020 18:36

When I first saw the 30 day deadline, my heart sank a bit thinking it would never get there.

Completely underestimated how many of us are pissed off at this! It sometimes feels like we're a little corner on the internet, the only people aware of what's happening. But it seems more and more people are waking up now, thank God.

Bumpinggggg
