How is 'persistent pest who won't take no for an answer and scared his victim into giving a false name, address and phone number'' a romantic story?
The only good thing is that many of the comments (even in the Sun) aren't buying it.

He is a third year psychology student. He is going to be working with vulnerable people. Should one of his tutors take him to one side and have a chat?

Oh gosh. The sense of creepy entitlement here is astounding. Had to check my calendar to see that it is indeed 2020, and I am not living in 1950's BarbaraCartlandLand Angry

Dear lord! That poor young woman will now be living with the fear that someone eh ok she has possibly confided in about the creepy stalker, will let him know who she is. Wtf did the paper think that was a good story to publish? The arrogance of that little prick, to assume she made a mistake, rather than she didn’t want to give her details.

I just want to scream from the rooftops;

Mate, she didn't make a mistake. She picked up creep vibes from you and deliberately gave you a wrong number. Quite wisely, as it turns out.

Alternative headline.

Creep Who Can’t Take a Hint From a Woman He’s Made Feel Uncomfortable.

Arf. Ridiculous chancer turns creepy. This is not a love story.

The polarisation of 'trustworthy' against 'didn't want to talk to me any more' is galling.

If the genders were reversed you can imagine what people would say about her

In case you cant see the article;

A lovestruck student who was given a wrong number by a mystery girl he met in a park has penned over a hundred hand-written letters in a desperate bid to track her down.
Serban Raia painstakingly spent ten hours writing out the notes to the woman - known only as Amy - before posting them along the street where she told him she lived.

Serban began chatting with Amy in Radford Park, Nottingham, and hit it off before she agreed to go on a date with him to the Peak District.

Speaking to student news site The Tab, Serban, who studies Psychology with Cognitive Neuroscience, said: "Maybe things didn’t work out the way I wanted.
"But at least I know what kind of man I am, and it makes a hell of a good story too.
“Given that we had such a good connection I decided to trust her, and not assume that it wasn’t that she didn’t want to talk to me anymore.”
