Sorry, I was not clear. I was trying to demonstrate to gotalife how ridiculous their rewording " proof of transphobia through analogy efforts were.

Yes if you change words, you change the meaning. We can all play that game. My version just highlighting the misogyny ..at least that was clear !

cheeseismydownfall · 16/08/2020 17:18

“I must point out that I am atheist, which means that whilst I am firmly against abuse and discrimination to people of faith, I do not believe in God."

ItsLateHumpty · 16/08/2020 17:16

*... whilst I support rights for women I do not believe that their sex has any relevance to their lives.”

Try explaining that to victims of FMG. I would ask that you explain that to victims of femicide but they’re (in their millions) dead, so what do they matter. Or maybe the aborted female babies. Oh right. They’re dead too. Voices silenced so they do not matter.

OvaHere · 16/08/2020 17:16

@attackedbycritters

I must point out that I am transsupporting, which means that whilst I support rights for women I do not believe that their sex has any relevance to their lives
So on what basis do you think women won rights then if it wasn't sex? Our sex is of fundamental importance in shaping our lives. It's not the only thing but in countries where women still do not have full human rights it has everything to do with our biological sex.
TBHno · 16/08/2020 17:11

Fine.

But can the police please present the evidence that proves that humans CAN change sex?

I'll wait Smile

DianasLasso · 16/08/2020 17:11

Hang on - are you suggesting "people can't change sex" (a statement of biological fact) is directly equivalent to "white people are superior" (a racist-as-fuck opinion)?

That is a truly bonkers gloss to put on this, and also the constant appropriation of the anti-racism struggle for civil rights is in itself bloody offensive.

By all means believe in "internal gender identity" - it's a free country. Some people believe in god, eternal souls and young-earth creationism. And (provided those beliefs don't make it impossible to do their job - e.g. employment as a biology teacher), it doesn't really matter 99% of the time. But don't expect other people to go along with those nutty beliefs, or re-write science ("sex is a spectrum"; "there's no such thing as evolution") because of your own ideology.

thehumanformerlyknownasfemale · 16/08/2020 17:08

Bigot means fuck all these days.

You can't change your biological sex-that's a simple, straightforward fact of life. Always will be. Not bigoted, just nature. Plenty of trans people (not the raging, woman hating TRAs on Twatter) agree with this themselves. Are they bigoted?

attackedbycritters · 16/08/2020 17:05

Superior...a subjective judgement based on an arbitrary selection of criteria
Sex...biology, as fundamental as atoms

Gottalife · 16/08/2020 16:57

“I must point out that I am gender critical, which means that whilst I am firmly against abuse and discrimination to trans people, I do not believe you can change your biological sex,” she wrote.

Just change a few words in that statement

“I must point out that I am a white supremecist, which means that whilst I am firmly against abuse and discrimination of black people, I do believe that white people are superior,” she wrote.

You see the police see the bigotry behind the rhetoric.

ItsLateHumpty · 16/08/2020 16:41

Cheers Harry. The apparent totalitarian goose step in the transgender movement is awful.

I don’t live in the UK now but I’d be apprehensive to come back and visit family in case my SM is trawled or is already monitored and reported for wrong think and I end up being invited for an interview.

I’d never have the fortitude of you, Glinner, Maya, Sarah Phillimore, etc

Big up to you all 🍺

HazzaTheOwl · 16/08/2020 16:02

This story is from our upcoming Policing Through The Looking Glass report... unbelievably shocking, sinister and absurd. But I’m glad we were able to expose it.

madcatladyforever · 16/08/2020 15:56

And there was me thinking the police were there to enforce law and order but apparently I was wrong, they are the snowflake thought police.
I'll bet most of the current police force think its all a load of old crap.

ItsLateHumpty · 16/08/2020 15:51

@ItsLateHumpty

We Are Fair Cop are all over this.

“ Good news! You will no longer be sacked for believing sex exists!

Responses are heartening.

This situation is absolutely abysmal though.

”Our objective as a police force is to always ensure our officers and staff continue to police in a way that builds trust and confidence by providing a service that is inclusive and unbiased for all.”

Unless you don’t believe in gender. Then we’ll be as biased and as exclusionary as possible. You can trust us on that.

@HazzaTheOwl

Hey Harry - just in case you haven’t seen this MN thread.

Thanks for everything you’re all doing at Fair Cop. If we can help, please let us know.

DianasLasso · 16/08/2020 15:14

I found the "tell us who these serving officers are" bit particularly chilling.

Theluggage15 · 16/08/2020 15:11

So the police are actually saying there’s no such thing as biological sex and furthermore, if you believe in biological facts such as the undeniable one that you can’t change sex then they’ll investigate you. The world has actually gone mad then.

BovaryX · 16/08/2020 14:02

*floisme
No, no problem! I think it's inevitable that many posters won't agree with all of his opinions, he is several degrees to the right of the centre, but he is usually entertaining.....

Floisme · 16/08/2020 13:48

Sorry if that sounds ungrateful - not intended to be!

Floisme · 16/08/2020 13:29

Yes he's on good form! I just think that, in this instance, taking a pop at the low prestige unis is a bit lazy and off the mark.

BovaryX · 16/08/2020 13:22

No problem floisme, it seemed a fitting link because as you say, these views which dominate the police and vast chunks of the public and private sector are coming from 'universities.' Murray is on scathing form.....

Floisme · 16/08/2020 13:21

Mind you I disagree with Douglas Murray if he's really suggesting that this nonsense has emanated from the less prestigious unis. I would argue that some of the worst culprits are in the Russell Group.

Floisme · 16/08/2020 13:08

Thanks for that link Bovary

blubellsarebells · 16/08/2020 12:35

Are the police supposed to be encouraging recruits from black and minority ethnic backgrounds?
What with them having a massive racism problem.
How does this help with that?
Its like everything including common sense must fly out the wondow to appease a tiny minority of white men.
Im so sick of this world. Nothing makes sense.
