LOL dolls

Has anyone seen the videos going around with LOL dolls, I've just watched one and can't believe it.

If you put them in cold water, lingerie appears. One doll even had a devil tail tattoo on her lower back.

Why would they include this on little girl toys

Bratz have just signposted their followers to an account that adds fetish wear to them...

twitter.com/CollectiveShout/status/1295953334784815105?s=19

That does seem perplexing and highly inappropriate to me

talkingkrustydoll · 20/08/2020 06:30

I showed my 15 yr old that unicorn video asking if she'd seen these and her reply was "why are they selling sexy toddler unicorns to kids?"

It's disturbing how much more sexualised everything is becoming. Super hero's and other female characters even back in my day were quite scantily clad but it seems different these days. (Maybe in just old and past it) I think it's more the advertising is very sexually suggestive.

famousforwrongreason · 20/08/2020 01:15

@GingerBeverage

Wait there's more.

Baby Annabel
Dolly Moda
Heidi
Lil Snaps
Ello

And I don't think this statement holds up when they're selling disembowelled unicorns and sexualised toddler dolls.

Ugh. I'm disappointed to see that I have spent money on their shit. And what is with that weird font? Is that their legitimate ethos done out like a cheap meme?

There's a definite erosion of boundaries going on. Men have always done weird stuff with toys, see Bronies for example, but this isn't usually promoted by the toymaker Hmm

Fucking hell 😭 I despair for my children. I was in an horrendous meeting recently about coercive control amongst young people with horrific sexual behaviour and the parents were absolutely broken. I can hardly bear what has always been happening but is now becoming an acceptable part of the mainstream.
famousforwrongreason · 20/08/2020 01:09

@Clymene

Well the concern fir me is that children are being sold gross adult kink toys *@BilboBercow*

It's a question of priorities I guess

I can't believe the people either okaying these dolls or completely missing the very valid point. I hate this way of normalising child sexuality or of making people out to be frothing conspiracy snowflakes when they speak out against things like this. And on an anonymous forum, who are they trying to please or appease? It's not like anyone knows who they are. I hate all those 'open your eyes SHEEPLE!!!' ranters but sometimes they have some point These dolls, even without the ice water are vile with their little pouty mouth and big eyes. It's over exaggerated and is not appropriate for children. And that fucking shitting unicorn thing upthread. It's almost a carbon copy of a revolting Web 'model' who dresses in a similar style with sexy lingerie in child friendly colours eh pastel bdsm gear and purposely doctors her pics to look young with copious use of the word 'daddy' in her posts. ALL This stuff really mirrorsthis very popular lolita type fetish. It has crossovers with cos play, anime and furries too. It plays into the hands of perverts whilst at the same time giving a voice and a look to disenfranchised kids These supposedly harmless dolls are normalising sexy underwear and immodesty for very young children. Taking down kids' boundaries bit by bit. I'm Jo prude but if the very least they're doing is emulating the costumes of contemporary pop music 'artists', then it is normalising fetish wear. Many, many mainstream artists perform in fishnets, knee high/ thigh high boots. Actual underwear, latex, zipped pants etc etc. Seriously, we are becoming a nation of very blind, very dumbed down people. No surprise that the two main Western world leaders are filthy misogynists. The poison is inside the house.
Motherofmonsters · 19/08/2020 20:56

That's terrible Bratz are linking to that!

Not that I think this is the same thing but has anyone seen that Kellogg's have released a mermaid (blue) waffle for kids. Hopefully they won't forget the name of it and google blue waffle... (Don't Google it to see what it is)

Mydarlingsleepthief · 18/08/2020 17:57

Yes it is @returnofsaturn!

ReturnofSaturn · 18/08/2020 16:17

Is that Unicorn video sang along to the 'My Humps' song by black eyed peas?

hoodathunkit · 18/08/2020 11:11

You don't see anything wrong with the unicorn video?

The unicorn video is extremely weird, granted, but to extrapolate that it is evidence of a paedophile conspiracy seems far fetched to me

Please find the below video of a pooping reindeer sweet dispenser

This is also weird

Is it evidence that the manufacturer wants to corrupt children into scatology and bestiality?

There are many brands of reindeer poop sweets available, are these eveidence of some sinister conspiracy?

I attended a Christmas family theatre production of various fairy tales some years ago. The production included a donkey that shat out gold coins whenever its tail was pulled. The children present absolutely loved the shitting donkey more than any other element of the production. Children are great appreciators of scatalogically themed jokes as anyone who can remember their childhood will confirm.

Was it really a play about fairy tales of do you thi nk it could have been a sinister plot to corrupt children?

If you suggest that it is possible that certain themes, such as unicorns, mermaids and other supernatural beings are used as coded indicators of sinister networks I would not dismiss this out of hand. Supernatural beings feature prominently in the networks I research. Phoenixes, centaurs, dragons, unicorns and mermaids abound.

However if you have a speculative hypothesis you need to test it and find actual evidence.

For example, in the networks I research the symbol of a singe eye, sometimes coloured in a metallic or psychedelic manner often appears.

Does it mean anything?

I might do. It might also simply be that the networks I research are cheapskates and often use easily available stock images and the eye resonated with their pseudo-spiritual bullshit so they often choose it.

You have to always look at different hypotheses that might be true.

In the case of the pooping unicorns the merch products associated with it are definitely products that children like and while there may possibly be some sinister plot associated with them you have to provide evidence if you want to prove it.

I can imagine that all kinds of very weird things may be possible.

I always look for the most likely and simple soultion and in the case of the pooping unicorns it seems to me that this is a brilliant business idea making lots of money for a company that understands children's love of scatalogical themes, unicorns, slime and collecting small toys.

SunsetBeetch · 18/08/2020 08:52

@hoodathunkit

The video with the pooping unicorns is a promotional video for a range of unicorn poop themed toys

You buy poops and inside is slime of varying colours, sparkliness and aromas, also a little figurine, some of which are rare and kids may consider them highly desirable and may use pester power to get parents to buy more and more

Slime as a toy is big business at the moment and I can totally see how a product like things could be marketed with absoultely no sinister associations apart from the cynical exploitation of the acquisitive nature of young children

As a business I imagine if is hugely sucessful

It may be a bit gross but so is Fungus the Bogy Man which, IMMIC, also had a merch line of bogey themed slime

You don't see anything wrong with the unicorn video?

And it's completely different to snot.

SunsetBeetch · 18/08/2020 08:36

Christ, they're ugly.

WeetabixBananaHipsterFFS · 17/08/2020 22:50

Looks like a Sharpie effort to me.

But still, Bratz were nasty, same as Monster High and LOLs.

DD is 10 now but I’ve been quite honest with her since she was younger that they all creep me out and she’s not having them. End of discussion.

(Had she received as gifts, they’d have been disappeared straight down the charity shop.)

Mybabysmylife1 · 16/08/2020 23:55

I've bought over 11 different lol doll things for my daughter it Xmas wtf do I do now! I have no receipts!!

NettleTea · 16/08/2020 16:20

we always had dolls that wet themselves - I remember tiny tears. But they looked like real babies and not like some sexified baby /pornstar in a designer hotpants like nappy and full make up.

Dowermouse · 16/08/2020 12:09

My 6yo dd has a few and enjoys the ones that wee themselves, I would prefer them not to be in the house, not least because they all have 100s of tiny parts. 3yo ds also loves dressing them up and caring for them etc.
There is aMichael Jackson inspired figu3call Lil Thriller.....

NettleTea · 16/08/2020 10:25

My 14 year old son asked me yesterday about the new 'animal heads' that are available for avatars in Roblox.

He is aware of the dodgy elements of furrys and he said that its just so awful because of course kids love animal heads and cute creatures, and he indeed likes the drawing style of anime, but its been ruined because he also knows about the wierd nappies and the pooping unicorns and the furrys, and is just quite upset about it all.

He also said that he finds it a bit dodgy that they just stick tits on the cartoon female characters and 'of course all the teenage boys follow it' and you think your not going to see anything dodgy because its animals, but really its cartoon animals with tits porn, but most people wouldnt class it as that.

He is very frustrated that stuff thats supposed to be for kids just gets ruined by grownups trying to sexualise it.

Clymene · 15/08/2020 22:06

@bishopgiggles

Agreed bilbo, what's actually there is bad enough (that unicorn shite!). I think this is becoming more common, mixing real and false info to discredit and reduce confidence in any sort of 'news'.
I agree with that. But I don't think we should allow the more ludicrous stuff to detract from the fact there is something sinister here. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

Snopes rubbishing the troll doll concerns has pissed me off. At some point in that doll's manufacture, someone should have thought that putting a button between her leg that makes gasping sounds is highly inappropriate

Clymene it's perfectly fine to be concerned about that. But if on the same thread ridiculous conspiracy theories are being repeated and we don't actually know if some of the videos referenced contain real dolls then we lose credibility.

I think it's important to stick to facts and refute falsehoods.
