Wouldn't it be funny if a bat is a bat started to appear on the back of loo doors....

NonnyMouse1337 · 03/08/2020 12:19

Great video! I too wish I could share it on Facebook.

Superb.

KingOfDogShite · 03/08/2020 09:17

I wish I had the guts to share that on my Facebook!

Abhannmor · 03/08/2020 09:04

@DialSquare

Loved it! Although I think they have got confused on Gender is a social construct. They make it sound like that is said by the TRAs but I thought it was a feminist concept.
Yes I thought that? It is brilliant though. I shared the hell out of it. Was full sure they would take it down pronto!

@highame Yes it's really scary, like 1984, come to life! My ex used to say this all the time but as he was so outrageous with other conspiracy theories I was quite skeptical...
I was trying to explain it to my mum and step-dad, that I agree, a person can do whatever they please, but once they're attempting to stamp on others rights, especially those of us (women) who struggled hard to get these rights in the first place.. well, the gloves are off!

highame · 02/08/2020 22:32

@Forgivenandsetfree there's some really sad stuff going on and I wish I could say that it will all be ok but with these things you can never tell. I do honestly think more and more people are seeing how destructive some of this is. I hope things work out for your friend.

My grandson is 21 and the other is 15 and both have been brought up to respect the rights of others, but they both really don't get what's going on. 15 year old said they had a few sessions on trans issues at school but he said he felt as though they couldn't ask questions and so he had felt embarrassed to talk about it at home. It wasn't until I asked what they both thought about these issues that we learned he'd felt he was being transphobic if he talked about it at all.

Don't know about you but I call that indoctrination

EdgeOfACoin · 02/08/2020 22:11

Brilliant - thanks for sharing!

JellyFishSquish · 02/08/2020 20:48

How can I ever know what it is like to be a bat, a dog, a cat, a horse, or even another person? Can I only ever truly understand what it is like to be me? Thomas Nagel, philosopher

Forgivenandsetfree · 02/08/2020 20:17

@highame no, I'm 26 and don't buy into it.
I had a friend/acquaintance at school who is now transgender (ing?) and I mean, at school I always thought he may be gay, but it seems to me s/he's been well sucked into it all, as he seemed to find more acceptance with other TGs, what I see on his Facebook, it's just full of bitchiness and just pulling others down while trying to look good doing it..
Not sure if I'm aloud to say this Blush

LongPauseNoReply · 02/08/2020 19:55

That’s fantastic. I’ve shared it with everyone Grin

Scout2016 · 02/08/2020 19:48

Excellent, hope it gets shared a lot!

SheWhoMustNotBeHeard · 02/08/2020 18:51

@highame that's really good news. Maybe it will become viral if it's shared enough. Here's hoping anyway. Smile

Just had my grandson take a look. He laughed all the way through, thought it was great. Has now gone off to circulate it on social media.

This is where it gets interesting - putting this out to young people. Even if there are some anomalies, it has appeal and my worry has always been that this has looked like an oldie fight, even though it shouldn't have been because I know young people who don't by into woke
