Would you take part in a mass naked lie down demo to highlight the erasure of women's rights?

There's a small rumble on Twitter suggesting this as a way of women showing our vulnerability and refusal to be pushed aside. And a shock tactic obviously. Would you take part?

Men aren't bothered*

This woman needs some sleep.

DDemelza · 03/08/2020 00:02

But women aren't bothered by women's vulnerability. They fucking revel in it.

Quillink · 02/08/2020 23:58

Women never really down tools though, do they? Because if they do then children and vulnerable people suffer.

Well said. The practicalities of looking after small children and elderly relatives have to happen somehow. They might be mundane but literally keep other people alive.

NonnyMouse1337 · 02/08/2020 23:53

Nah. Better to have clothes on. And be angry. And loud. And marching through the streets.

Porcupineinwaiting · 02/08/2020 23:50

Wtaf? No!

ErrolTheDragon · 02/08/2020 23:36

I am really not fussed if a TRA wishes to take my place on the 'naked demo' march, so long as I don't have to be there.

They're welcome to, if they really want to demonstrate that TWANW.

Thesuzle · 02/08/2020 23:29

No. What a stupid idea, female nakedness always detracts from whatever the females are trying to say.

Winesalot · 02/08/2020 23:25

Would we just be perpetuating the emperors new fashion statement then? I’d rather be able to point out that he has no clothes on first without losing my life.

Oh... and to be able to discuss what gives certain emperor’s erections in broad daylight (they don’t bother to hide anymore) these days without getting deleted too. They used to like slices of pastry crusts with fillings, now they like GPS readings and things.

GoshHashana · 02/08/2020 22:55

No way. It's a myth we've been fed that liberation comes through taking off our clothes.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 02/08/2020 22:50

@NotTerfNorCis

So in spite of 99% of replies on this thread saying no, absolutely not, TRAs on Twitter have decided we're going ahead with this and they're going to join in, confident they won't be spotted.

Are they thinking along the lines of the mass naked bike rides to raise awareness of how vulnerable cyclists are

Very late to this thread, aside from "fuck no" on the grounds that I am sick of women being expected to endlessly be naked, I had no idea the naked bike rides were to emphasise their vulnerability. I thought it was just because they liked cycling naked. So that's a second no on the grounds that it wouldn't work at all.

ErrolTheDragon · 02/08/2020 21:59

Late to the thread to add another, no, ridiculous idea.

That's put a very unwelcome image in my head!

MaybeDoctor · 02/08/2020 21:14

Um, when I read the OP I thought 'perhaps' and was hoping to bagsy the nice clean white line in the middle of the road rather than the gutter....then I read the rest of the responses and slunk away, casting my flesh-coloured knickers and my mask in the nearest bin Blush!

Perhaps a silent, standing protest of women wearing identical tee-shirts? They could say: 'Woman. Adult human female. End discrimination against biological women.'

Dances · 02/08/2020 20:44

What The Fuck?

That some women think that they most effective way to get their point across is taking their clothes off is simply depressing.

How about using words and arguments?

Tits out for the Lads on Steroids. Except the women are suggesting it. WTF

MsSafina · 02/08/2020 18:57

I am very much in favour of en masse downing of tools
I sometimes wonder what would happen if men decided to down tools. I have never seen any women working outside in the street on road repair or bin collections. None of the people who come to my house to repair boilers, do plumbing, electricity or building work are female. Be careful what you wish for.

MsSafina · 02/08/2020 18:52

Are mass demos allowed right now and why provide titillating views of women? Unlikely to gain any support from sensible people. Just another example of far left idiocy.

MannymanMunroe · 02/08/2020 17:49

No for all the reasons given.

I am very in favour of an en masse downing of tools. Women could stage a sit in in their town centres or march.

There needs to be some unifying symbol, though, otherwise how will the morons in the popular press know to cover it as a coordinated protest? Hmm

It also needs to be distinguished from the Women's March, that stupidly accepted being dictated to by men. And it needs to be free from hi-jack by the TWAW crowd. A unifying colour + The Adult Human Female definition could work as a powerful symbol (as a sea of pink pussy hats once did pre-hijacking).

FlorenceFlounce · 02/08/2020 17:28

Clearly someone laughing behind their hand at silly wimmin must have been behind this suggestion Hmm

Campervan69 · 02/08/2020 17:26

No.
