has had to lock down her Twitter account after being inundated with hate for saying women have cervix’s

The TRA are now spamming labour with complaints about her transphobia & demands she is sacked

I’m planning to email my support fir her copying in Keir Starmer

(And yes of course LOJ is involved!)

The irony, a quote from the medium article in that Twitter link.

We have all been on the receiving end of abuse; been harassed, smeared and bullied by ‘gender critical’ people online sharing the same views as Rosie Duffield. A feminism that leads women to pile on abuse on other women is not feminism.

They also quote the Dalai Lama, any chance of a Dalai Lama being a woman? I wonder how they manage to always pick boys.

gardenbird48 · 15/01/2021 08:31

an interesting thread. A Lib Dem MP is getting called out by another LD MP for calling for Rosie to be excluded by the 50:50 Women campaign (to improve women's representation in politics) because she doesn't support 'ALL' women.

People are dying and TRA’d are denying biology (science) when what we need is science to deal with the epidemic WHICH BEHAVES DIFFERENTLY IN BIOLOGICAL MEN. But who cares about biology! Wearing a dress is clearly going to make you less likely to get sick right?

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 13/01/2021 23:19

(Given their propensity to deny biology, and the means of procreation, and gametes, it does not much surprise me that they are not thinking long term survival. If they were, they would not be fighting (infighting?) natural allies (ie women) - with a common oppressor: (ie men).

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 13/01/2021 23:14

I bloody love Rosie’s quote in Pink News! ❤️ Well said. Priorities. It makes me so Very Tired and CROSS that we are having to fight this fight when there are so many other more important things (really, there are - isn’t this whole identity battle so selfishly narcissistic?) to fight for.

But fight we MUST. Do not disturb the lioness with her young. Is a REALLY BASIC principle. I mean, how stupid ARE these TRAs?? Do they think we will - or even CAN - back down?? Survival, innit.

TheBuffster · 13/01/2021 21:57

That sounds good.

teawamutu · 13/01/2021 21:51

Previous gutsy female politicians who've admitted what a woman is in public and said we should have rights have been the recipient of postcards from the Terven massive.

TheBuffster · 13/01/2021 21:48

Postcards?

teawamutu · 13/01/2021 21:42

@TheBuffster

I'm so glad she represents Canterbury. Any idea how those of us who'd get sacked for GC views can support her without doing it publicly?
Another round of postcards?

@BuntingEllacott

Pfft.

TW aren't 'invalid'. They just aren't women. God it's like speaking to a toddler having a tantrum about not having a tail.

What a woman!

Lack of response from the top, even useful idiots like Nandy and Rayner, is quite reassuring in a 'spineless but may know what electoral suicide looks like' kind of way.

Quote from one of the replies.

There’s a pandemic on, kids are going hungry, people are losing jobs and homes and your priority is conducting a hate campaign against a woman who stands up for other women. Really? FFS!

twitter.com/mrsrsparkles/status/1349085628407934978?s=19

Well bloody said. The rest of twitter has been talking about children from low income families being given tinned tuna in coin bags, and this a Labour branch's priority?

HecatesCats · 13/01/2021 16:01

"As chair of the Women's PLP, Duffield’s exclusionary language pushes the transphobic idea that trans women are invalid."

"As Chair of the Women's PLP, Duffield's sensible observation demonstrates that she knows what a woman is, which should be a prerequisite for the role."

Fixed it.

persistentwoman · 13/01/2021 15:53

When facts, logic, ethics and morality are completely absent, all men (and some women) have left is intimidation and bullying. And that's what this is.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/01/2021 15:48

FFS.

PotholeParadies · 13/01/2021 15:43

They're trying to condemn Rosie Duffield again.

North West Young Labour, this time. They've passed a motion against her. Some might think there might be greater issues that a left wing party could focus on during a pandemic than Rosie Duffield's twitter likes, but what do they know?

I’m sure you’ll understand that these issues are of slightly greater importance to me as an MP than your latest click bait non-story sourced solely from the weird world of Twitter.”

MichelleofzeResistance · 05/01/2021 18:01

I think 'winning the argument' is possibly an over generous interpretation. There are few reasoned points or addressing of the issues, if any at all. It seems more like stamping and shouting dogma until anyone holding other views is removed from their vicinity, so that no argument ever actually takes place at all.

SunsetBeetch · 05/01/2021 17:56

Dear God can open letters just die a death already? They are so last year.

Collidascope · 05/01/2021 16:57

@Vermeil

If Starmer has an ounce of sense he’ll know that pandering to the demands of that sort of group will lose him a lot more votes than just ignoring them.
Yeah. Can you imagine? Starmer, amidst a pandemic and the third national lockdown, deciding to remove the whip from the MP who won Canterbury for them because she said women have cervixes. Nice to see that "winning the argument" rather than elections is still of paramount importance to these fringe groups.

“You may have noticed that we are in the middle of a pretty serious pandemic and my constituency is currently suffering from a very high rate of infection. Our hospitals are under enormous pressure, Brexit has already started to impact East Kent and worried school staff are facing the return of pupils shortly. I’m sure you’ll understand that these issues are of slightly greater importance to me as an MP than your latest click bait non-story sourced solely from the weird world of Twitter.”
