Shall we all self id as men?

If all the craziness continues, why don’t we all self ID as men? We don’t have to DO anything. We can dress how we want, be brave and beautiful, join the Masons (whoopee) and this would expose the madness for what it is...

I don't wear spinny dresses, ever. No dresses at all for at least ten years. I have very short hair. I have pockets. And any makeup I buy always goes old before it is used up.

I am a man, hear me roar.

PamDenick · 29/07/2020 00:03

Will definitely do this. And no woke 20 year old, or BBC researcher can’t tell us that we are anything but brave and beautiful.

I have short hair and wear trousers, so I'm definitely already living my life as a man. It's all about the costume really isn't it? and I'm notorious for not being particularly nice to people. When people accept I'm actually a man, they won't even notice this though as it will no longer be expected of me.

nepeta · 29/07/2020 00:01

Are there still any posh men's clubs? Now they will be open for us.

thehumanformerlyknownasfemale · 28/07/2020 23:59

I think we should identify as men that identify as women. We'd have an army of defenders behind us then, ready to shut down the bigots who dare doubt our oppression or tell us we're not valid as women Wink

It's the answer to all our prayers, I'm telling you.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 28/07/2020 23:55

DH has also offered to identify as female in a previous FWR rant of mine so we're all sorted here.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 28/07/2020 23:53

Oh cracking. I work in a man job and I know loads about Rugby Union, cricket (yay SB) and engines. I don't do dresses.

risefromyourgrave · 28/07/2020 23:49

Oh I am 100% in all seriousness going to do this if they allow self ID. Every changing room, every toilet (although I’m hoping they don’t smell as bad as male toilets at school did!) and every time I need to try on clothes.

ShiveringCoyote · 28/07/2020 23:46

Oh me as well. Looking forward to being listened to in meetings.

PamDenick · 28/07/2020 23:42

Collective.

Rainin it would have to be a collected effort.

PamDenick · 28/07/2020 23:41

Oh yeh. Man looking. Quite often it involves keys, doesn’t it?

OP posts:
TedsFederationRep · 28/07/2020 23:38

Never mind mansplaining. Will I be able to master manlooking - you know, look in a cupboard for a tin of baked beans and if it isn't directly in front of me (because it's on the bottom shelf, behind the soup) have a strop about it because we haven't got any?

Honestly, it would save so much time.

Toseland · 28/07/2020 23:31

Hooray! (I’ve been wondering this for a while and I have a stick-on moustache handy.)

RaininSummer · 28/07/2020 23:26

I would love it if we all did this to show how bloody ridiculous self is is.

Tolleshunt · 28/07/2020 23:22

I’m definitely looking forward to the 20% pay rise, while trading doing any actual work at work for 20% work and 80% bullshitting.

nzborn · 28/07/2020 23:21

love this thread

Fearandsurprise · 28/07/2020 23:21

If you do want to adopt male or unisex clothes (of course, I’m not saying you need to in order to be a man), there are some great options:

  • traditional full length Arabic dress,
  • Fijian sulu skirts,
  • Malaysian sarongs,
  • Chinese changshan,
  • Kilts
PamDenick · 28/07/2020 23:20

IAintent I know that, you know that, most people know that but the GRA will allow people to identify as another sex if they chose to.

@peekaboob 😂😂😂

peekaboob · 28/07/2020 23:17

Hang on though..... who will the school phone if I'm in a two man relationship?!?!

highame · 28/07/2020 23:17

Don't do them, so I don't know why that popped into my head. Must be tired

peekaboob · 28/07/2020 23:16

So I could reverse into a parking space without another man standing there guiding me in? I'm all up for that!

Oooh mansplaining - yes please - and that lovely 20% pay rise we're all going to get for our fine manliness at work. Can't wait Grin
