Paedophile with 1500 abuse images now identifies as a woman

Also claims it was "their" gender dysphoria that caused them to download the images of pre-pubescent girls being abused.

Judge disagreed with that assessment - said Anthony had clearly gotten sexual gratification from the images - and yet STILL handed down a 2-year suspended sentence... Isn't that the definition of male privilege?

Female pronouns throughout the article.

This is all beginning to feel a bit like the “grooming scandals”.

God no idea what that mess of a link was. Try this: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-53410019

Courts are different from newspaper reports and I'm not sure of the guidance for court. But IPSO guidance is clear - you don't mention it unless it is relevant to the story. https://www.ipso.co.uk/member-publishers/guidance-for-journalists-and-editors/transgender-guidance/

I think the fact that these are men is highly relevant to the story. It's an absolute distortion of truth for the media to report these crimes as committed by women. This BBC article is an absolute disgrace:

Complete madness and you'll give yourself a headache trying to understand the mindset of such a person.

That’s what they bank on and then they disappear off the thread when people point out how incoherent their argument is. It’s all bluff and blunder.

Their strapline is The Star news you can trust since 1887.

Considering how women were treated in 1887 and onwards, that’s hardly worth boasting about. 😁

calllaaalllaaammma · 14/07/2020 18:54

This article from the Star from July last year doesn't even mention the defendant is a transwoman or show a photograph, they committed a similar crime.

@LillianBland

I’m just waiting for the poster who said on another thread that women aren’t raped, because of their sex, to pop up and explain why this pervert’s choice of video involved the abuse of little girls. Coincidence?

The very very tiny comfort in this story, is the fact that the judge didn’t believe his excuses for watching the rapes of young girls. Isn’t it ridiculous that I’m actually surprised at that?

The person you're talking about is all about men and said I was a "victim blamer" because apparently talking about the fact that girls are doing better in school than boys is victim blaming now. Complete madness and you'll give yourself a headache trying to understand the mindset of such a person.
ScrimpshawTheSecond · 14/07/2020 18:21

Ah, thanks for the clarification, Clymene. So newspapers are free to use whichever pronouns they see fit? And police can record crimes according to sex?

Clymene · 14/07/2020 18:15

No, they don't scrimshaw. This is another 'stonewall' law which is being challenged via IPSO.

Clymene · 14/07/2020 18:14

In the last few months, we have had John Robert Marshall, Anthony Scales and Joshua Harvey, all male, all identifying as women, all paedophiles, all reported on in the press as women.

These. Are. Not. Our. Crimes.

The police have become weirdly shy of providing photos of men who are claiming to be women in these instances. What a headfuck if you were some of the children approached by 'a woman' at the Remembrance Day parade which is what harvey did immediately after his release from prison following conviction for grooming.

Here is what Harvey looks like.

As do the police. As I understand it they have no choice in the matter. Pronouns are to be respected. These things are embedded in policy.

@HaveaStock

I’m sure the likes of Paris Lees and Juno Dawson even mutter under their breaths when they see reports like that - surely? Can they really not see where we’re coming from with this - this isn’t some ‘hypothetical’ that you can deal with by saying ‘well Rose West was a woman!’ Can you? No. Just no.
Are you assuming that they have sympathy for females? I have yet to see evidence of that.
ScrimpshawTheSecond · 14/07/2020 18:09

Newspapers have to record pronouns as the paedophile identifies, don't they?

@AnIckabog

Two in one day! There's a news story about Julie/Jon Marshall in the Blackpool Gazette today. Same crime. It's reported on Yahoo's homepage as well, with absolutely no mention of 'transwoman' just with the headline 'Woman convicted etc etc' I can't work out how to share the link on here from my phone but perhaps someone else could?
They’re being told that they’re talking bollocks on their Twitter, when they describe that person as a woman. The light is shining on every corner of the woke world.

I do wonder, sometimes if the the papers know exactly what they’re doing, when they say ‘she’ to describe male bodied people who identify as trans, that commit these horrible crimes. Is it their way of making people sit up and take notice?

Fanthorpe · 14/07/2020 17:44

No photo of Julie either.

Looking at csa images while in hospital! Dear god. Wonder which prison?

slipperywhensparticus · 14/07/2020 17:41

I've known pedophiles get suspended sentence violate the conditions and get another suspended sentence and violate it again for ANOTHER SUSPENDED SENTENCE

Male privilege

Why not record crimes by sex - there's a novel idea!

truthisarevolutionaryact · 14/07/2020 17:17

@Kantastic

This will be recorded as a female crime. Why do females once again have to take responsibility for a man's crime. Why not at least have 2 other categories, trans woman and trans man?

Ooh... I know, because then people would start comparing crime trans rates with "cis" crime rates. And that would raise a lot of extremely awkward questions that TRAs do not want to have asked, let alone answered.

Worth repeating!
BacklashStarts · 14/07/2020 17:11

A suspended sentence? A fucking suspended sentence? Jesus Christ! I mrs you go to prison for years for fraud and other crimes that effect money but being a peado

Gah!!

stillathing · 14/07/2020 17:08

This will be recorded as a female crime. Thereby contributing to skewed statistics that MRAs and lib fems alike will use to throw back at us with a "look women do it too; therefore sex isn't real/you don't deserve boundaries".

LillianBland · 14/07/2020 17:07

@Fanthorpe

It appears from the article that the defendant was tried as Anthony Scales though, which would mean the crime would be recorded as a male offence.
I wouldn’t bank on it. Even the paper was calling him ‘her’, the whole way through. After all they mustn’t upset the poor pervert, or they’ll have the wrath of the TRAs on them.

I trust we’re permitted to correctly sex this person, since he committed a sex crime towards females, MNHQ, as we are with other sex offenders?

On the other hand, this person IS a transwoman, because they identify as such and that’s how it works, so I’ll probably get reported by those who wish to support the paedophile.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 14/07/2020 17:07

Excellent point, that I'd never considered like that.

Let’s hope so.
TalkingtoLangClegintheDark · 14/07/2020 17:01

@scotsheather

Let’s just be clear that those who advocate for self ID believe this man should be able to go into open plan single sex swimming pool changing rooms where women and girls are undressed.

He already can at Glasgow Life afaik. It was bad enough changing in mixed 'villages' with single cubicles.

I read about that at the time.

Scotland seems to be modelling itself on Canada, in this respect.

Awful.
