I'll spam this thread with a comment I posted elsewhere:

I sent an email to the editor of The Times ([email protected]) to say that I was a subscriber because of Janice Turner's articles in this area and also because of the newspaper's commitment to free speech at a time when it is invaluable. Got a nice (brief) email back saying that he gets it.

It's useful for senior people at The Times to get unsolicited emails from rational people letting them know quite how much their stance on free speech and conflicts of rights is appreciated.

The Times is going through a bit of a golden age at the moment with some excellent writers and Janice is the best of an impressive bunch.

I love JT - she's the reason I have a subscription to The Times. I'm not so sure whether they have got better or if they're just one of the few newspapers holding the line against deteriorating standards and content.

Apparently IW appears to be having some sort of mental health struggles at the moment, so it’s probably best to keep IW out of any further discussions. The watchers will be waiting for screenshots and will be quite happy to add to IW’s distress, in order to ‘prove’ how cruel we all are. I hope IW comes off twitter, etc for a while until feeling better.
