Is this the right address to send a card to?
J.K. Rowling
c/o Bloomsbury Publishing PLC
50 Bedford Square
London WC1B 3DP
United Kingdom

JKRisaqueen · 25/07/2020 22:59

Jk Rowling is pulling this into the mainstream. I can't thank her enough. I have GOT to get it together to send those cards this week.

fatblackcatspaw · 25/07/2020 19:23

if anyone wants to send a letter to NYT two first class stamps would be enough postage

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 25/07/2020 18:33

Bumping this so everyone can get their glitter & sequins ready Grin

LatinforTelly · 20/07/2020 12:56

Sorry, I've just found it on her website. Sorry for double post but at least this is bumped.

LatinforTelly · 20/07/2020 12:39

Just done this and need to get to post office for stamp to USA later. Does anyone have JK Rowling's (publisher's) address to hand? I know it was on here when she wrote her essay but haven't found it yet.

GreenJumpers · 19/07/2020 22:13

Yes I was just thinking of this campaign earlier today! Jk Rowling has been so brilliant, I'd love if she feels our appreciation

contactusdeletus · 19/07/2020 19:07

The letters are a fantastic idea but just so everyone knows, you can email too! The text of the letter and the necessary email addresses are all provided at the link.

Just in case you're like me and think "ooh, that's a great idea . . . must get stamps . . . must find paper . . . oh no, no ink in the printer!" And then you never quite get around to sending people actual physical letters Grin

PhoebeSnow · 19/07/2020 13:07

Will send them same time as my card for Kate Bush birthday on 30th July

PhoebeSnow · 19/07/2020 13:04

Brilliant idea, will definitely send to all mentioned. Thanks for posting OP.

Imnobody4 · 19/07/2020 12:47

Bumping as deadline is approaching.

buckeejit · 13/07/2020 09:23

Super.

@highame I think we should add a 'sex' prefix to the job title for bbc. A little extra fix for them ;)

TheMadShip · 13/07/2020 09:16

I've printed off my letters -bump-

May decorate the envelopes since I only have black ink in my printer.

Barearseloverofthigh · 10/07/2020 23:19

Um, environmentally friendly glitter? Asking for my inner 8 year old.

😂

@onceuponatimeinsuburbia

Downloaded, envelopes and stamps at the ready. Would it be very naughty to fill the bbc's envelope with environmentally friendly glitter? Asking for my DM.

Owl post! I'm downloading more letters and sending them to other outlets

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 09/07/2020 22:13

I’m hoping for volunteer owls —bump—

Horizons83 · 09/07/2020 19:29

Just bumping this for you again as it's so important. I have printed out my letters!

TheMadShip · 09/07/2020 13:31

This is a great idea, I will definitely be participating!

I hope we can keep this thread bumped high enough over the next couple of weeks that as many people as possible see it.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 09/07/2020 12:27

This is brilliant!

Apileofballyhoo · 09/07/2020 11:38

Fabulous idea.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/07/2020 09:30

@MiraWard77 - ah I did wonder if it was a tone of disappointment!

Yes, the reaction to her rather ambivalent statements has been very different indeed! I feel she may be fence sitting, but she has linked to the Scientific American article on the "new science" [!] of sex and gender and a couple of other things that suggest she's more on the TRA side than not.
