Showing that feminists don't all hate heterosexual male sexuality

OK so I am talking about consensual adult sexuality only.

I think there is a feeling, imo an incorrect one, but still a feeling, among many straight men that feminism wants to impose celibacy on all straight men, and hates and derides any expression of male sexuality.
Now, while I think this is unfounded, I wonder sometimes if there is any mileage in perhaps showing some compassion for the difficulties that many straight men encounter in their personal lives in general, and perhaps even that the pain of sexual or romantic frustration is no less real (and perhaps heightened by societal expectations of the straight male stud) for this group of people than anyone else. I have nothing but contempt for the so-called incels who clearly despise and feel entitled to women, and for men who express disdain for and behave badly to women in other ways, but I do think it may do some good to counter the message that you sometimes hear that feminism is anti-men, and showing that there is probably a societal bias against and fear of male sexuality in general. I hope you understand what I mean.

I don’t understand- relate or appreciate your posts on any level op. I don’t centre men so I choose not to spend to much time worrying about how they feel, but instead how I can protect myself and other women from what some of them do.

I’m here simply for the replies Grin.

Feet. It does make it vair moist... The cake 🎂 that is.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 07/07/2020 07:30

Are you a man OP? It very much seems like you are, so male centric is your view. And there seems to be quite a bit of mansplaining in it... Hmm

feetfreckles · 07/07/2020 07:28

My nana'sChristmas cake recipe used Guinness. She kept the Newspaper cutting from the 1930's.

feetfreckles · 07/07/2020 07:27

Some people think the earth is flat ! What should we do about that? A lack of scientific thinking, is that the fault of feminism? Discuss.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 07/07/2020 07:24

I. Can't. Even.... I have found a fabulous cake recipe involving Guinness that I can make on my breadmaker though!

PumbaasCucumbas · 07/07/2020 07:21

Yes, what is your actual point OP?

TheSingingKettle49 · 07/07/2020 07:04

I’m sorry OP bit I really don’t understand your question?

Are you saying that because some men assume feminists hate all men that feminists should reassure them that we don’t? How would we go about doing that?

I mean I don’t want to sleep with men who would make a baseless assumption like that against all the evidence, I’d rather stick with the men who don’t think feminism should be all about them and understand why women need to be able to talk about issues that affect them.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 07/07/2020 06:13

@madwoman1ntheattic

Ohhhhh like an info-ops campaign? To make feminism more palatable to romantically frustrated gents? What do you suggest, op? Leafleting? Stickers? Have you got a slogan? Designed a flag? I know a man with a plane or two - is there an area of the country particularly in need so that we could fly a supportive banner? Can we have an acronym? RadFemsForRomanticRelief? RFFRR rolls off tongue lovely, so it does.

Is putting out essential? I dunno that I’ve got it in me (Oo-er) and dh might mind. Shall I check?
No, you loon. Feminists do not need to gussy up and dick-tease for their politics to be rendered more palatable. 🙄

Well this is a great thread to wake up to Grin Grin

Shoes make such a change from recipes for us sexy feminists Wink

Gingerkittykat · 07/07/2020 04:41

I have two pairs of crocs, my black ones for in the house and my fetching lime green ones for at the swimming pool!

I'm not looking forward to venturing outside again because I am going to have to ditch my crocs for shoes.

OldeMagick · 07/07/2020 03:58

@LillianBland

I know it might come as a bit of a shock to you, OP but a hell of a lot of us are actually in relationships with men. Some of us even have SEX with them! Shock
Wash your mouth out!
TheProdigalKittensReturn · 07/07/2020 02:23

I think the bad for your back thing is a lack of support for proper foot alignment thing? Can't remember, just remember that he told her to stop wearing them for actual walking.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/07/2020 02:21

They are so comfortable I have shamelessly worn them to the pub.

Peri menopause = no fucks given.

Good to hear!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/07/2020 02:20

Be careful, a friend of mine was told by her chiropractor that wearing them as shoes rather than as slippers is really bad for your back.

I had horrible blisters, in my defence. Not sure I would have been able to go out otherwise. They are unimaginably comfortable!

DuDuDuLangaLangaBingBong · 07/07/2020 02:19

My dilemma is that I had to borrow a pair once and they are the most comfortable shoes ever made.

I bought a pair solely for wearing in the back yard, whilst picking up dog poo - ‘dog-shit-shoes’.

@TheProdigalKittensReturn

Indeed, Terry. Just think how much extra shagging would be happening if women collectively could be sure that men weren't going to be obnoxious about it!

Take heed, men. The solution is in your hands (literally to a certain extent, learning to use them properly will serve you well).

It's in their hands either way

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/07/2020 02:06

Can confirm that this kind of works in that I'm less likely to want to shag anyone wearing them outside.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/07/2020 02:04

Presumably we’ve inherited the spammers that once spammed the gender critical subreddit

Yes, I predicted this would happen soon after it was banned. They had a whole TRA stalker subreddit watching them, now bereft of a focus.

NotBadConsidering · 07/07/2020 02:00

Iron Pyrite = fool’s gold. It’s the anagram Hannibal Lecter uses in Silence of the Lambs. Are you Hannibal Lecter, OP?

MrsTerryPratchett · 07/07/2020 01:58

Oooo a thread for my theory.

Bear with me... If feminists actually got what they wanted, men would get laid much more. As a young woman, I would have had a LOT more sex with randoms if I knew that they wouldn't:

  1. Kill me
  2. Shame me
  3. Force types of sex on me I didn't want
  4. Ignore my pleasure for theirs.

Take heed men, if you want a lot of sex, tackle male violence. Also, prioritise learning how to actually give women pleasure rather than watching porn with a lot of male weird shit.

nice, attractive, kind, funny men are getting laid by feminists every day. Every day.

HeistSociety · 07/07/2020 01:57

I want new shoes.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 07/07/2020 01:55

What if it only works with Crocs?

Can confirm that this kind of works in that I'm less likely to want to shag anyone wearing them outside.
