This is not a woman?!

I'm just slowly discovering that this is an issue due to reading some threads on here - I know this is from a few months ago but I just saw it on Facebook.

The headline says woman, all through the article says woman, but says 'she' is also known as John. Right Hmm

How is this allowed to happen? Is it counted in statistics as a woman?

I've also recently started reading this board and I'm horrified with the turn things are taking. Glad to have found such a great group though. For now, I will lurk and educate myself...

@decafjitters you've summed it up very well there. Yes there's a real "madness" vibe isn't there?!
I am mostly a lurker on this board but it has really opened my eyes and thank god because it really feels like a place where other people feel like I do! You're not mad, do stick around and contribute.

And I'm not sure on how English police/courts are operating, but

Police Scotland will record male/female according to whatever the person wants. So yes, this would be recorded as a female crime.

I've just started reading posts on this feminism board and am totally appalled - brought to my attention by JK Rowling too, I feel like the world has gone mad without me noticing! So shocked.
