@Pollyputthepizzaon

I can’t even think of a response Confused
That's no problem. She obviously didn't think in the first place.

Yep, dim.

caramac04 · 30/06/2020 14:25

Good grief, does she actually believe her tweet????

AnneOfCreamCables · 30/06/2020 14:21

I think people confuse her with Matilda and so assume she is smart. Well, she definitely disabused them of that notion. Hmm

GrouchyKiwi · 30/06/2020 14:20

I do like that most of the comments (well, as many as I could be bothered reading) are telling her how craycray that tweet is.

Anyway. Obviously dyeing your hair changes your biology, just like changing your clothes does.

TreestumpsAndTrampolines · 30/06/2020 14:18

It's deliberate I think. She obviously knows there's a difference between a natural blonde and someone who uses bleach to have blonde hair. It's purely a points scoring argument, not one that's got anything behind it, or holds any water at all if you actually engage rather than use it as an excuse to bray at the awful women who aren't just staying quiet like we were told to.

mumwon · 30/06/2020 14:14

@crumpet Ah but eating those fish could mean you can change sex! because that's biology (trying to sound imitation smug with underlying irony!)
Is it an American site out of interest?

Whatsnewpussyhat · 30/06/2020 14:12

Not sure about changing sex, but if I remove my glasses I do turn into a blurry blob like creature. More pufferfish than clown fish these days.

crumpet · 30/06/2020 14:10

It’s definitely a world away from only seeing what they had for lunch.

nevermorelenore · 30/06/2020 14:09

I miss the days before Twitter when you could just like an actor and not have to hear their shit opinions all the time. Remember when the news was actual news and not just 'celeb tweets a thing'.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 30/06/2020 14:08

So, it's not a parody and not are any of the responses??

My head hurts. How the fuck can anyone believe such flat out stupidity,? Let alone think they are slam dunking some point but other when they spout it.

That really is a parallel universe they are growing.

BentBastard · 30/06/2020 14:08

Problem is because many fans are also dim they will think from her playing Matilda that she is super bright, due to struggles with fiction and reality, and will assume this is the intelligent book readers view point.

noblegiraffe · 30/06/2020 14:08

I demand that only clever people get to play Matilda.

BentBastard · 30/06/2020 14:06

This is what happens when you spend your childhood on film sets instead of in school I guess...

StressedMom4 · 30/06/2020 14:06

I wish that was true, cause then I'd be breathing and holding in all my belly flab and hopefully become a Victoria Secret lookalike Wink

Doyoumind · 30/06/2020 14:04

The fact that so many of the animes are agreeing with her says it all. There is no logic to the argument whatsoever.

AbsintheFriends · 30/06/2020 14:00

I think she's 'influential' because the bar on social media is set at 'I know who she is because she was in a film I watched'.

The sexism/ageism combo on that thread is strong enough to power a large city. (I do love the post asking if 'a couple of good spray tans change your race' though Grin)

Fanthorpe · 30/06/2020 13:58

Influential - on Twitter a lot - pride, LBGTQ etc, gets lots of engagement. Mainly because of being in children’s films, I think a lot of people relate to her because of Matilda -special, different, misunderstood, clever.

Imnobody4 · 30/06/2020 13:57

Never heard of her so just looked her up. She's 32, I knew American education system is bad but this is priceless.

risefromyourgrave · 30/06/2020 13:55

Someone’s saying that because a certain type of fish and some amphibians can change sex it’s totally possible for humans. I’d like to see them develop gills and swim a mile underwater as fish can also do that. Hmm

EmperorCovidula · 30/06/2020 13:55

They seem to have confused changing with interfering with. Of they have a very odd concept of biology. Some of the responses are hilarious though, especially the Halloween one.

Mara Wilson aka Matilda? Oh dear...

RufustheRowlingReindeer · 30/06/2020 13:54

Why am i so old?

No one say biology 🤔

RufustheRowlingReindeer · 30/06/2020 13:53

Oh good lord is she the little one from miracle on 34th street 😳

teawamutu · 30/06/2020 13:52

Why is she influential? She was a child star but doesn't seem to have done much as an adult?
