trans people already have unfettered access, especially in the UK, a GRC isn't required to access women's spaces and it's patently illegal for anyone to ask for it. so how is that not SELF ID?

And that, my friends, is wha we're arguing and campaigning against. W KNOW it's already happening. Women have been victims to these policies already.

the entire context of the comment you were replying to was a discussion about how there should be more third spaces. YOU WERE ARGUING AGAINST THIRD SPACES WHEN YOU MADE THAT COMMENT.

Completely ridiculous that other people have to keep track of your own argument for you. But I'm glad you agree that third spaces are the best solution and would benefit GNC women who look sufficiently like men to frighten other women, as well as many other groups.

I'd love to know the details? Why? And surely it was a mistake?

A big difference between a mistake, and knowingly sending male sex offenders into women's prisons.

This argument has now reached such ridiculous proportions that a potential Leader of the Opposition publicly argued that male paedophiles should be housed in women's prisons if they say they identify as women. You couldn't make it up.

What I'm taking from @DeRigueurMortis's post is that one of the fairly central parts of the whole experience of being a woman is putting up with various degrees of male violence. Which leads me to the thought, if TWAW, & want to be fully accepted as such, they need to get on with it. Like the rest of us do. Sorry if that offends. It offends us too. If the trans community somehow find a way to prevent male violence, we'd love to hear about it.

Tbh Benny most people wont let it be their pre teen daughters.
Most people would rather hurt an adults feelings than risk their children being uncomfortable, vulnerable and unsafe.

Add that instinct to the basic reality of biology theres only one way this can go.

Hence the tactic of drowning out debate, silencing and coat tailing on popular movements such as GLB rights.

Sunlight.
The GC crowd want a light on this. The TRA don't.
That in itself tells you something.

I'm sure if any GNC real women look so male-like that women are frightened when they go into the women's changing rooms, then they would be absolutely delighted to have more third spaces available. Real women tend not to like upsetting or frightening people.

Kailey, kailey, why so fixated on peeing? How do you feel about female prisons? Women’s sports? Rape refuges? Let’s take a quick tour where exactly you would draw the line for transwomen’s access? Is there a line? At all?
because restrooms were where so much of this started. especially in the US where it has been proven that right wing groups completely fabricated stories of trans women attacking people in the restrooms. as for sports, no man will pretend to be trans just to win. and you all know it. as for rape centers, a case CAN be made, as long as its a proportional response as required by the EA, and as for prisons, again it has to be a proportional response with all safeguarding followed. which in the white case, they were not.
