A male who has had full SRS does not have a vagina. A woman is not 'a man without a penis'.

jeffgoldblumlovespenguins · 29/06/2020 19:39

Woman = vagina
Man = penis
Simply put .

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 29/06/2020 19:34

@jeffgoldblumlovespenguins

I'm feeling more accepting lately, I'm happy to say twaw but only if they have had a full sex change op! It would be simpler if we scrapped gender entirely and went with genitals instead. Vagina or penis is easier for everyone to understand.😄

What do you think the words woman and man refer to? Genuine question, not being arsey.

FloralBunting · 29/06/2020 19:29

Staffy, that's because the transmen are too busy making headlines for being pregnant and campaigning for the loosening of surrogacy by divorcing the idea of mothers having babies. It's not worth anything unless it services men, you know.

Slightly off topic, but always wondered why it's always trans women that the big fuss is about. I presume there are trans men but never hear of them demanding things or insisting non-trans men are called " people who produce sperm" or such like.

Flapjak · 29/06/2020 19:25

I may have got this wrong, but am sure i read a recent report that more than half of 'trans'prisoners had committed a sexual offence. Not sure if it was delved into any deeper but it seems at best these are male sexual predators using trans identities probably to gain easier access to their victims? Surely this is a good example why women should have the right to retain female only spaces

Have you got a single rational argument as to why males should be treated as women, other than, because they want to be and you're really mean to not do that?

Patsypie · 29/06/2020 19:23

I thought he tweeted 'Trans women are women' and JK deleted her 'thank you' tweet?

Highperbolay · 29/06/2020 19:22

Why do you think DBS checks exist Benny? After all, if we are to just believe that everyone is genuine, and is genuinely who they say they are, and would never mean any harm, and no one would ever take advantage of anything in order to carry out crimes, we can just do away with them can't we?

midgebabe · 29/06/2020 19:21

You can refer to him as a woman that's fine

What's not fine is to expect us to believe that they are a woman or to expect us to hand her woman's rights without significant gatekeeping, and sometimes not at all

So your friend was a nurse and I asked for a female nurse , they should not be offended if I do not at that point consider her a woman

If your friend was really good at cycling, I would not expect them to put themselves into the woman's team ( although I think a competitive sport solution should be available to her)

Many transwomen are aligned with this way of thinking and I really feel that the TRA is distracting from supporting these transwomen and providing the structural fixes and support that they need ( perhaps more closed cubicle unisex toilets for example or their own rape crisis centre )

exLtEveDallas · 29/06/2020 19:21

Uh @Benny10 saying Trans women aren't biologically the same as women obviously is transphobic.

Tell you what, try posting that sentence on Twitter. In fact, to make it even more fair, have a female name or avatar and post it. See how much abuse you get.

HavelockVetinari · 29/06/2020 19:21

There you go, @Benny10

#SorryNotSorry

Ereshkigalangcleg · 29/06/2020 19:21

Men have died hiding in septic tanks waiting to peep at women in women's spaces.

HavelockVetinari · 29/06/2020 19:19

Do you think its credible to suggest that a man whose out to sexually assault women would go to bother of transitioning or claiming to identify as a woman to get at them in a bathroom say?

And we know that men choose entire careers based on the access they can get to vulnerable people. They take all sorts of crazy risks, will install cameras knowing they could get caught, will literally crawl through shit, if they think they might be able to carry out a predatory crime.

So I don't think saying 'yeah I'm a woman' will be tooooooo much trouble!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 29/06/2020 19:19

The sexism of the position, the unthinking disregard for women and girls never fails to shock me, even now.

JemimaShore · 29/06/2020 19:18

In a world where men in the UK have trained as teachers and police officers and so on specifically in order to gain access to vulnerable women and children I don't think saying 'I'm a woman' is a particular barrier.

And quite apart from anything else, this has already happened. What do we call the women and children that this has already happened to? Collateral damage? Existing safeguarding rules (that are being ridden over and dismantled by TRAs and the TWAW mantra) would have protected them.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 29/06/2020 19:17

But I just think, let them at it what could it hurt?

No. Why should women give up their rights because it makes males feel better about themselves? It does hurt us.

Heygirlheyboy · 29/06/2020 19:17

And yet guess who holds most high up positions in academia...?

Thisismytimetoshine · 29/06/2020 19:17

So you're male, Benny?

Highperbolay · 29/06/2020 19:17

Do you think its credible to suggest that a man whose out to sexually assault women would go to bother of transitioning or claiming to identify as a woman to get at them in a bathroom say? I think it's a bit weak as a reason against letting trans people live the way they want to, if a sexual predator wants to get at a woman they can unfortunately, they don't need social acceptance to enter a women's bathroom to do it.

Oh this old chestnut again.

So what you are saying is 'look ladies, rapers gonna rape, blokes are gonna harm you anyway, so let's just open up your safe spaces to literally any bloke who declares he is a woman. Because if males want to access women's spaces then who the fuck are women to stop them?'

In a culture of self id, a woman will never be able to ask a male to leave a toilet or changing room or refuge, because all that man has to say is 'well I'm a woman innit' and that's it, he has 'the right' to be there.

Benny10 · 29/06/2020 19:16

@Ereshkigalangcleg

You are a transphobe though. Just like us. We're all just degrees of transphobic, as you'll learn if you say that thing about women's sports to some TRAs.
I don't frequent chat rooms where anyone who says trans women are women is declared a sworn enemy lol so I'm definitely not as against it as most on here I would think. Don't get me wrong I think some people who argue for trans rights are far too militant and are often very unreasonable. But I just think, let them at it what could it hurt? I know a boy who went to my school who went on to transition afterwards and its clear that he had been struggling with it the whole time in school. We went to an all boys school and he had a hard time. If he wants to call himself a woman now to make himself happy why go to lengths to deny him that? Please don't lower yourselves to sarcastically correcting me for referring to him as a boy
Ereshkigalangcleg · 29/06/2020 19:15

If someone is transitioning it's because they feel like a woman.

How would they know? They can only know they don't feel like they think a man should feel.
