This is doing the rounds on Facebook. If this is the sort of thing people use to decide they're 'in the wrong body', well, it might explain why TRAs have some problems with uppity wimmin. www.idrlabs.com/gender/

Undifferentiated Androgynous. Huh?? Right, we're off to change our pronouns and add "menstruator" after our email signature... Hmm

JaneJeffer · 28/06/2020 21:29

I'm undifferentiated-androgynous Grin

GrumpyGran8 · 28/06/2020 21:22

I started the test, but gave up when I got to "sentimental". I've put down poison for rats and mice, and disposed of the subsequent bodies, with nothing but a feeling of regret. But show me a video of a three-legged puppy or a basket of rescued kittens, and I'm immediately in tears. So which should I have chosen?

Stripesgalore · 28/06/2020 21:16

Torktork, that makes sense, in the way that non binary is not special, as basically everyone’s mum is non binary.

LynetteScavo · 28/06/2020 21:16

I'm 53% masculine and 50% feminine. That makes me androgynous, apparently. Grin

TorkTorkBam · 28/06/2020 21:13

It isn’t a test of gender identity and never mentions trans. It is about sex role stereotypes.

They are indeed very careful to point this out themselves.

Genuinely, I am sure we are all amused because of the current trend for confusing gender identity with sex stereotypes with what it means to be a woman or man.

endlessginandtonic · 28/06/2020 21:09

What messages are we giving boys like my son, if you are warm, kind and caring you really aren't a bloke!

And my dd isn't a girl if she knows her own mind, there is nothing androgynous about her.

NotEvenTheKing · 28/06/2020 21:08

What should my pronouns be?

These were the references the online quiz gave under the results:

‘This test was constructed on the basis of the following studies:

Donnelly & Twenge: Masculine and Feminine Traits on the Bem Sex-Role Inventory, 1993–2012: a Cross-Temporal Meta-Analysis (Sex Roles 0360-0025 2016)
Holt & Ellis: Assessing the Current Validity of the Bem Sex-Role Inventory (Sex Roles Volume 39, Issue 11-12 1998)
Lee & Kashubeck-West: Factor Structure of the Bem Sex Role Inventory in Samples of Ethnically Diverse Young Adults in the U.S. (Journal of Asia Pacific Counseling 2015)
Robinson, Shaver & Wrightsman (eds.): Measures of Personality and Social Psychological Attitudes: Measures of Social Psychological Attitudes (Academic Press 2013)’

MiniMum97 · 28/06/2020 21:07

Ha ha ha ha ha. Apparently I'm casually masculine whatever that means. What a load of tosh.

KittyMcKitty · 28/06/2020 21:06

^ forgot to say it told me I’m undifferentiated/ androgynous apparently.

Stripesgalore · 28/06/2020 21:05

It was invented at Stanford in the 1970s but has been updated since.

KittyMcKitty · 28/06/2020 21:04

I’m 47% masculine and 47% feminine- I’m very worried about my missing 6%!

ShinyFootball · 28/06/2020 21:04

Which country and what era should it be used?

I didn't notice any notes to that effect on the quiz Confused

PlanDeRaccordement · 28/06/2020 21:03

I actually avoid swearing and scored 97% masculine. That’s probably why I’m not 100% a man in the body of a beautiful woman.

SpillTheTeaa · 28/06/2020 21:02

Oh I'm more masculine because I'm a head strong woman. Silly me. How dare I answer. Back and defend my opinions.

Stripesgalore · 28/06/2020 21:02

Yes banana I have been here since it started.

Stripesgalore · 28/06/2020 21:01

“We are amused because of the likes of Mermaids "educating" us that people are trans if their pink and blue brain is in the wrong proportion to their body. Our results show this as the total arse that it is.“

It isn’t a test of gender identity and never mentions trans. It is about sex role stereotypes.

Bananabixfloof · 28/06/2020 21:01

@Stripesgalore

Absolutely women and men should just be seen as people with a range of personalities.

But currently we live in a world of gender stereotypes that influence how people behave. Many people are working to change that.

Umm yes and here on fwr we do our bit to change the stereotypes. You been here before?
dudsville · 28/06/2020 21:00

I'm 56% masculine, mwahaha. I'm going to start 'splaining.

tabulahrasa · 28/06/2020 21:00

Also casually masculine... wonder how much the swearing tipped it over... lol

Stripesgalore · 28/06/2020 20:59

‘Which varies over time and around the world???’

It isn’t designed to be used at any time and at any place in the world.

Stuffofawesome · 28/06/2020 20:58

I'm 64% feminine out of 120% 🧐

MsMarvellous · 28/06/2020 20:57

I'm 83% masculine. So Typically Masculine apparently. Probs 'cause I swear and describe myself as confident and willing to stand up
For myself.

What a pile of steaming shite
