OMG The Unbelievable Truth Radio 4!

It’s a comedy panel show where the participants are given a topic to talk nonsense about and hiding 5 truths in the speech.

The topic that Frankie Boyle has was ‘women’.
David Mitchell introduced the topic as ‘adult human female’!

I heard this too and thought the same thing! But I was a bit worried that Boyle was going to come up with some woman-hating TWAW shit. Or just woman-hating shit in general.

There are some male celebrities I would be particularly disappointed if they are not GC - DM is one. David Baddiel is another.

I always assumed Frankie Boyle was equal opportunities offensive? Ie, will be unspeakably rude about anyone!
I have a lot more time for offensive comedians who are happy to offend anyone (including myself!) than those who just pick on one group if that makes sense.

That's why it's genius (if it is deliberate as I so hope it is). They usually give the dictionary definition, so no one can accuse DM of doing anything other than what they normally do. But whoever decided on the topic "women" for Frankie Boyle was setting that up.

I'm not sure FB even understands the whole situation well enough to grasp this. Even if it wasn't deliberate it puts him right on a sticky wicket.

Robert Webb's book was brilliant, and I'd be surprised if someone as intelligent as David Mitchell wasn't a believer in biological reality. As far as I can tell, both of them seem to genuinely believe that women are actually equal human beings to men. A rare quality these days.

Yes it is usually the dictionary definition but this one is rather controversial and FB has said rather anti t*rf stuff in the past.
