Just wondering if anyone's seen this on Twitter. Quite a funny, interesting thread, eg

#AskDanielRadcliffe When was the last time you showed solidarity with trans activists by dating a trans woman, and what steps are you taking to unlearn your genital preferences?

Is the first one that showed up when I clicked. Sorry if it's old news.

The point about asking who he dates is that Daniel has not dated a transwoman.

Daniel has stated transwomen are women.
Daniel has started women should accept this, and not question it.

He is being pulled up on his own hypocrisy as his dating preferences show he clearly doesnt believe transwomen are women.

Notverybright · 15/06/2020 12:58

Your asking about his genital preferences?! I don’t know whether he prefers men, women or trans people but that is his business.

Yes he said trans women are women, that makes it ok to ask about who he ‘dates’?

I guess if TRAs were asking Emma Watson if she would date a trans man/woman you’d be all for it eh?

BaronessRadcliffeFemish · 15/06/2020 12:50

No it doesn't "help" anyone to understand why you brought up who DR "sleeps with".

NotEvenTheKing · 15/06/2020 12:48

Was just looking at that hashtag, very funny. Shame DR isn't on social media Grin

@BaronessRadcliffeFemish

It isn't a pile on tho is it? It's people using gentle humour to challenge his odd views about women.

cf. "suck my lady dick" - rape threats - death threats, etc.

It just not on the same scale of nastiness.

Yes indeed. I found it hilarious. Not mean or threatening, just funny and pointed.

Does that help?

BaronessRadcliffeFemish · 15/06/2020 12:26

I have no idea who Daniel Radcliffe sleeps with and I don’t want to know.

Why on earth have you brought this up? Are you notverybright?

TeenPlusTwenties · 15/06/2020 12:15

Leave him alone.

To be fair, he should have left the subject alone himself.
He could easily have stayed quiet or could have said 'I am a straight white male, I don't understand enough about this subject to comment'.

It makes the point...but I am with boatyardblues.
It snarky and mean and kinda funny. I dont want to associate with it.

Completely with you boatyardblues. Given I'm still reeling from a facebook argument with two women friends who are late 30's have children, are staunch feminists, and yet both are completely TWAW, I do feel now that if people like them have swallowed the woke kool aid, I can't really expect the likes of Radcliffe to get it.

boatyardblues · 15/06/2020 10:30

Much as this raises a smile, its exactly the kind of pile on I abhor. There’s no question his statement was out of line, but if we want to start a debate we need to encourage dialogue.

onalongsabbatical · 15/06/2020 10:24

Nice - Sitting wondering if the Guardian are going to ask Daniel Radcliffe about his opinion on demand led breastfeeding. I feel he has the answer.
Reply - I think you'll find that young Daniel was weaned just over 2 years ago.
