Hi everyone, made an account for this.

Here are some other demographic forums reacting to the situation:

TheColi - large hiphop/sports forums:
www.thecoli.com/threads/jk-rowling-got-these-trehs-in-they-feelings-again.785351/ (give it a few pages Smile)

Lipstickalley - large forum focused on Black women & the culture:

No problem.

ATRL - large forum centered around pop-music with mainly LGBT users.
It was closed to outsiders for a while but they are open again. The JK Rowling situation is still a spotlighted thread.

atrl.net/forums/topic/300853-jk-rowling-sex-is-real/

Look at the first 4 pages to judge to responses.

Great taste theHeartbeat love all those sites. Neogaf is so much better since the split with Resetera. Prior to split it was a window into our dystopian future where any dissent was met with banning and calling employers to get people fired. Don't forget about the Anime avatars and the mods arrested for sharing Child Sex abuse pictures and defending Paedophiles....

NeurotrashWarrior · 14/06/2020 07:06

Wow I had no idea about the MM stuff going on.

TehBewilderness · 14/06/2020 03:01

@NewAccountForCorona

I find the word problematic problematic.
Me too. If it presents a problem bloody well say what the problem is that it presents why don't cha?
TheHeartbeat · 14/06/2020 02:54

Hi everyone! I''m glad the threads do you well, but here is a new one from the Neogaf forum. (gamers forum) They warn about a forum called Resetera which is basically the opposite as it hosts alot of extreme TWAW users.

www.neogaf.com/threads/transgender-are-not-women.1546542/

I've chosen these forums out of a bunch i know because the least echo-chamber-like despite having specific demographics.

@NewAccountForCorona

I actually find it more interesting how many forums have no references to the issue at all.

For example, rollercoaster.ie (Irish equivalent of MN) has no reference to the issue, and no threads on trans that I can find since RMcK winning her race last year. I doubt no-one cares, so I suspect censorship.

There's a humdinger of threads on boards.ie which is currently dominated by accusing people of being fetishists if they are homo or hetero sexual, which is mind-boggling. Apparently a "femme lesbian" being attracted to a "butch lesbian" is an issue.

I dunno, I feel old.

I'm Irish and never got rollercoaster. Too many huns for me.

Boards thread though is pretty good. A few years ago it would have been pro trans all the way and any dissention would have been soundly shut down by mods under the umbrella of hate speech. At least it's now being discussed and debated and actually has a lot of secret support.

It's spreading...

SocialConnection · 14/06/2020 00:00

WERMs 🤣 💐

Kettlingur · 13/06/2020 23:03

@CourtneyLurve

I lurked the Harry Potter forum on reddit so you don't have to: the moderators are unanimously anti-women, and are deleting any posts that support Rowling. Loads of bewildered long-time posters asking where their comments in support of JK had gone, calling the bias unfair. The few I did spot before being deleted were upvoted massively.
Reddit is famously TransCentral. So many major subreddits are controlled by trans activist mods. (Including almost all of the feminist subreddits, lesbian subreddits etc. Hmm )
bishopgiggles · 13/06/2020 22:57

So actually, I've just see that that racism thread had a post from MNHQ clarifying talk guidelines - worth a read - I didn't realise other places did the grey rock. Obviously this is great if it can weed out racist posters!

I find the word problematic problematic.

bishopgiggles · 13/06/2020 20:59

Must be how anyone who hasn't followed all this for the last 4 years feels...

There was a thread on Site Stuff about racism, but it was all about the Royal Family and Harry/Meghan and the many threads and regular posters discussing them. I have zero clue about any of it and I felt I'd stepped into a sort of mirror world Grin I backed away because I didn't have 3 solid weeks to try and unpick who said what and if it was problematic...

NeurotrashWarrior · 13/06/2020 20:10

^ ok, I don't get that.

Must be how anyone who hasn't followed all this for the last 4 years feels...

WERMs Grin

MitziK · 13/06/2020 18:53

'Anyone who supports the transmovement is a WERM: woman exclusionary radical misogynist'

Oh, I like this.

bishopgiggles · 13/06/2020 18:27

I hope the Coli forum members don't mind if I appropriate the term "tallywacker" (please someone tell me if it's problematic and I'm not realising! )

PurpleHoodie · 13/06/2020 18:20

And they are wrong. And usually racist. Either directly, or patronisingly. With them it is:

#BlackLivesMatter but actually
#BlackWomenCanFeckOff.

PurpleHoodie · 13/06/2020 18:17

Oh, I so wish they would WishingChair.

Just so we could sit back and enjoy the craic.

But of course they'd have their arses handed to them very quickly - and scathingly. And of course they are chicken shit.

TheAdventuresoftheWishingChair · 13/06/2020 17:56

Fascinating thread, thank you. And yes, it's so revealing that TRA's don't round on these forums and attempt to educated/castigate the posters on them.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/06/2020 17:40

Fascinating stuff, thanks, OP! Anybody know what is happening on Netmums?

Campervan69 · 13/06/2020 17:39

Same poster ends:

"My hope is that people who don't really pay attention to the trans rights movement take a look now JKR has caught the media's attention. Hopefully they'll see that it's a nice way for dudebros to exercise their misogyny and still get asspats."

Campervan69 · 13/06/2020 17:38

Also Kiwi Farms:

"I've gone back to look at JKR's tweets and saw a reply from a woman who is an FGM survivor say that she gets people saying that it's transphobic to describe it as such. And guess what? She's accused of telling lies by SJWs. Some of them even double down and say that, yes, it is transphobic because the clitoris and labia don't necessarily belong to a female...

twitter.com/Molleezysea/status/1269399914284331008

To think that somewhere in the world a little girl is currently being pinned down and having her genitals removed with a dirty scalpel. She could bleed to death or die of infection. It will ruin her future sex life, leave her at risk of UTIs and complicated childbirth. Yet there are white women in the West, who look on this practice and think, "You know what's problematic about this? There are people with a clitoris who don't identify as female. The term 'FGM' is transphobic."

Such SJWs no doubt support Black Lives Matter, but not if the black person is an African girl and there are trans people at risk of being reminded of their biological sex."

Campervan69 · 13/06/2020 17:32

Poster on Kiwi Farms:

"Oh boy, there is so much to analyze here.

First, as I've pointed out before, it's amazing how these people can drop any love they have for anyone or anything as soon as that anyone/thing becomes "problematic". Only then they start to nitpick for problems, which shows that they don't really care about these issues, they only use them to destroy something they don't like or that has hurt their feelings.

Then, you have the fans threatening to destroy Jo's books. You already gave her money, idiots. Please, go and burn them now, you're totally gonna look like the sane ones here.

And finally, the best part here is that Jo is right. About everything. And those trying to lecture her about biology need to remember she's married to a health worker (an anesthesiologist, iicr). She knows the science behind it.

She's also right about how TERF is a somehow slur, is the PC word for "feminazi" and makes sense that bullies like ShoeOnHead love to use it and have embraced it, it's a "mean girl" behavior.

I'm loving this plot twist very much, best thing that happened in 2020 so far."

BatShite · 13/06/2020 17:31

refuse to accept being called 'cis'

This bit really pisses me off. I thought hat everyone had the right to determine their gender identity. But..many people are just told they are cis and to shut up? Odd, how these people cannot define themselves and say they are NOT cis isn't it..only super special snowflakes are allowed to 'identify' as whatever they please..
