Pride was started by trans women

Is currently being shared all over social media. I thought it was started by a drag queen?
As a lesbian I should know this... but google is full of articles stating it was started by black trans women and trans people should be at the centre of pride. Can anyone clarify?

Thank you all, I’ve been googling storm Delarverie, pretty sad to see the transing of lesbian women. Feels like many want us eradicated completely

This kind of thing reads like they're writing fanfiction about real people, in which case I suppose it would make sense to pick the ones who aren't alive to potentially sue them.

Even wikipedia accepts that Storme DeLarveries started the Stonewall riot. (By that I mean the misgynists who troll wikipedia have given up trying to re-write women's history)

And the entry for Marsha P Johson confirms that he was a drag artiste.

They endlessly try to trans the past. Just part of erasing women.

Pride (US) was started a year later to commemorate this by a group of people of both sexes involved in Gay Liberation etc..

I think the first UK one was 2 years later.

Storme DeLarverie said 'do something' to the crowd when the police grabbed her and may have thrown the first punch. She is thought to be the spark which ignited the riots.

Marsha said in an interview (TV documentary) that they didnt turn up til the next day. Marsha also called himself a man and a drag queen.

They rewrite history constantly freddy mercury was trans according to some ex friends because he dressed feminine 🙄 any woman who changed her pen name to a make one to get published is trans women who bound there breasts and joined the army became pirates etc they were trans too not running away from sociaty or anything

Malcolm Johnson didn't arr until a 1/2 an hour after the riot started. I was there, he was not. Read an LGB history & not 21st century trans clickbait. Family member was historically slightly famous, and broke gender roles. I have been waiting for someone to insist that she was trans.

I know they hate lesbians but writing them put of history is an all time low.
