Just seen this on Twitter.

For those who like their Ginger Shampoo, can I suggest MooGoo.

Also, Aveeno is a good replacement for their Shea butter.

Other thoughts welcome. Feel free to suggest other ideas.

I wonder if Lush will have the (butter)balls to come out in support of Rowling. I hope so because I really like their dream cream and I don't want to have to find an alternative...

that said I'm still a bit miffed with them for their ill convceived attack on the police a few years ago

DiscontentedWoman · 10/06/2020 20:38

@EmpressLangClegInChair

I get my soaps, shampoo etc from a small women-run family firm called wild-sage.co.uk & they’re bloody brilliant.
Wild Sage look terrific. Thank you for the recommendation
KingOfDogShite · 10/06/2020 20:37

Oh well, fuck them and their shit make up.

ChickenNuggetsChipsAndBeans · 10/06/2020 20:37

Superdrug do some really nice own brand beauty products. I love their coconut shampoo and their stuff is so much cheaper.

We are moving into a recession, customers will not have the same level of disposable income and the high street is dying a slow death. You would think the Body Shop would fight to keep their mostly female client base, not actively piss them off.

I really don't understand it.

MorganKitten · 10/06/2020 20:36

Good for them for not being closeminded

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 10/06/2020 20:36

That’s one way to curb my £20 a month body shop habit.

PrincessConsuelaVaginaHammock · 10/06/2020 20:35

@XDownwiththissortofthingX

And the net tightens that little bit more around the transphobes.

Good on you Body Shop!

You evidently hate women far too much to be capable of understanding the distinction between transphobia and refusing to dick pander, so I'll focus on the easier point: on what planet is an increasingly irrelevant and overpriced MLM whining on twitter in a desperate attempt for attention a net tightening?
ChattyLion · 10/06/2020 20:35

Oh give it a rest, Body Shop. You’re a megacorp selling cosmetics, not some kind of social justice campaign group, the self importance and wrongheaded posturing when you’ve just put your company on the sexist side of an argument (that you clearly don’t understand) just makes you look like dicks.
JKR isn’t a ‘transphobe’, she has not said anything that is against trans people’s rights.

Melroses · 10/06/2020 20:31

That tweet is outrageous.

Recommending a book by an American TRA male.

Body Shop has cut off its roots.

@TheChampagneGalop

Disgusting misogyny. A company joins in bullying a woman standing up for women.
A company with primarily women as staff who sell to primarily women attacking a women standing up for women’s right because of a tiny minority of men.

Mental 🥴

colouringindoors · 10/06/2020 20:29

Wow they are getting destroyed on Twitter Grin

AsCoolAsLangCleg · 10/06/2020 20:29

Nice ratio. Can anyone recommend an alternative to Vitamin E Cream, which I've been using for 32 years?

Annasgirl · 10/06/2020 20:28

Well I haven't been in there in years but DD buys some things there - not any more though.

StrangeLookingParasite · 10/06/2020 20:28

Nice ratio.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 10/06/2020 20:24

Thanks for the heads up, won't be giving my money to companies that treat women with contempt.

Also had to laugh at the TRA posters on here still insisting we're the minority, think again sunshine.

IHateCoronavirus · 10/06/2020 20:24

Garnier do a nice banana shampoo.

Haffiana · 10/06/2020 20:24

Amazingly unprofessional behaviour. I know Body Shop is now just a glorified MLM, but have they let the huns run their twitter account or something?

Surely someone will get sacked tomorrow. Unless they are going bust and it no longer matters?

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 10/06/2020 20:24

Email sent. They are bastards and their products are crap anyway.,

colouringindoors · 10/06/2020 20:23

Well they can F**K off then.

BananaChocolateLump · 10/06/2020 20:21

Good. Can't stand body shop. They test on animals!!

ButterflyBitch · 10/06/2020 20:20

Empress I met the owner in Hay-on-Wye where she had a stall. She was lovely and her products are lovely too.
I was going to place an order with the body shop too but I won’t now. Can’t be doing with any company who shits on women.

CaptainHammer · 10/06/2020 20:19

Love this reply “Good call! If I had a successful business I'd be right in there virtue-signalling and attempting to alienate 98% of the population. It's what they teach at Harvard Business School now, apparently.“

Apologies, mixed my sexes. "Man who has been born in the body of a woman"
