Just seen this on Twitter.

For those who like their Ginger Shampoo, can I suggest MooGoo.

Also, Aveeno is a good replacement for their Shea butter.

Other thoughts welcome. Feel free to suggest other ideas.

That response! Jesus suffering Christ. Men have periods?

They have come entirely unmoored from reality.

Porridgeoat · 13/06/2020 05:39

Brilliant review

Gingerkittykat · 13/06/2020 04:02

The womb sticking up the middle finger is by Jess de Wahls

I went to sign up to the Body Shop to post my review of their male shaving brush but couldn't because the only pronouns I could use were Mr, Miss, Ms, Mrs, Dr and Fr. They clearly don't care about non binary and other gender variants.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 13/06/2020 01:34

Ahh shame hopefully whichever you use will make a strong impression Grin

BadMoon · 13/06/2020 01:12

Thanks Gibbons - I've had a look. I can't find the one I'm looking for - it's like an X-ray image or black and white photo. I'll use one of the cartoon ones instead.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 13/06/2020 00:57

Google “uterus middle finger” Lots of images to SS

BadMoon · 13/06/2020 00:02

I've bought their shower gels for years. I loved the shea butter and rose ones. I won't be buying from them again.

Am considering sending my loyalty card back to the head office - taped to a 'relevant' image. I was thinking of the picture of the womb flipping the bird that crops up on Twitter a lot. Anyone know where I can find it?

acatcalledjohn · 12/06/2020 23:28

Also, at the bottom of that shaving cream page was this.

They have lost the fucking plot.

Cismyfatarse1 · 12/06/2020 23:24

Turns out I last bought from them on Amazon.

I have left this review:

I used it to wash my menstruator’s hands. The body shop no longer allows me to call them women’s hands. Thus, I am now washing my hands of any further purchases from this organisation. It is a shame, but the smell of grapefruit does not cover the stench of misogyny.

It looks like they have disabled my account but simply not confirmed it to me, despite me asking them to.

Is someone able to answer this question on ejaculator's shaving cream?

Don’t forget trust pilot (although they just have 2.5 stars to start with)

Redshoeblueshoe · 12/06/2020 23:13

Excellent work there Divoc Wine

JemimaShore · 12/06/2020 23:10

Thank you Melroses - that's the one.

CaraDune · 12/06/2020 23:07

@Divoc2020

OK, I'm sure it won't stay there long, but it seems their reviews on their website for their products are auto-approved, so I've just managed to post this on one of their shea butters Grin

No need to use your real email, a temp one from temp-mail.org/ works fine!

Ooh, now this could be a fun game.

May I suggest there's ample opportunity here for a number of reviews taking the Body Shop to task for its appalling transphobia in targetting its shaving products at "men" rather than "growers of facial hair"?

TheChampagneGalop · 12/06/2020 23:01

Their website has multiple transphobic typos. Instead of "ejaculators", it says products for "men".

I believe the answer lies in a seminar - a year or two ago - attended by a feminist who reported back here. She said that one of the instructions was to promote causes like period poverty so as to look like they are supportive of women, and take the spotlight off the accusations of changing laws in a way that is detrimental to women.

StandWithYou · 12/06/2020 22:23

To add - so fucking fed up of word salad telling me to educate myself. Stop patronising me.

StandWithYou · 12/06/2020 22:22

This is not doing my blood pressure any good. Sorry DD I’m not buying anything from there again.

Singlewhiteguineapig · 12/06/2020 22:15

Body Shop can fuck off to the far side of fuck

colouringindoors · 12/06/2020 22:14

just fuck off those were the first words that came to my mind too.

Sickening.

Enderthedragon · 12/06/2020 22:11

we stand with ALL menstruators. People have periods- women, men and non-binary people

Oh would you ever just fuck off.

I don't tend to buy from The Body Shop these days anyway because whenever I go in I'm always so shocked at how bloody expensive everything is. But I will never be setting foot in there again. Bye!

SirVixofVixHall · 12/06/2020 21:44

I remember when Pride was a really joyful weekend for all my gay mates, rather than a never-ending stream of creepy men in latex puppy masks and harnesses on all fours “chatting “ to bemused children.

SirVixofVixHall · 12/06/2020 21:34

Agree Jemima.
What do they use when referring to people at large , urinators ?

JemimaShore · 12/06/2020 21:20

I find "menstruator" really fucking offensive.

And I have no idea why a male-governed cosmetics company thinks it has the remit to tell me, JK Rowling and other women off about this.
