Pro-woman is just a euphemism for transphobic

Exactly that.

Transgender people are not eroding our rights as women. Although, the people making such spiteful and ignorant comments and talking about trying to stop them getting recognized as women are eroding their rights to be accepted, respected equal. Do you all honestly think that by speaking out AGAINST transgender people, you are going to be declared as heroes?

And what happened to be kind?

Your post has brought me to tears, I am so sorry for how you have suffered, and I wish you all the luck in the world with your recovery. I hope you dont mind, I have screenshotted your post Flowers

Womens bodies are so much more complicated, and brutal, than mens. Whether that is a woman that goes through pregnancy and birth, to a woman that experiences premature menopause. We are dominated by a very complex balance of hormones that affect every part of our body (and sometimes our mind). We literally have a life cycle, each stage with it's own set of problems or side effects. Periods, PCOS, endometriosis, pregnancy, birth, caesarean sections, breastfeeding, menopause, all experiences that somebody born a male cannot experience.

And yet they have such a huge bearing on our lives, our health is intertwined with our brain and our emotions.

Not to even start on how it all affects our relationships, employment, treatment by others etc.

Bore off

Thisenglish female spaces are designed to serve all females, that's the purpose of them. There is no way to provide safety, privacy, dignity and inclusion for all female people once it becomes a mixed sex space. It isn't possible. The GRA was an attempt at trying, and it's been proven now beyond all doubt that if any males are given entitlement then the door will be forced to its fullest extent and here we are - any male, with any appearance, any agenda, invokes self identification protection simply by walking into a female space where females are undressed and vulnerable, and cannot be challenged.

The only way to meet all needs is to provide mixed sex or gender neutral facilities - and there are women on this thread saying they would gladly use them - while continuing to provide female only single sex spaces for those females unable to use mixed sex spaces.

Any other approach simply excludes and punishes vulnerable females who cannot conform to or prioritise the wishes of any male in their vicinity.

@Lastrolo

I'd love to see a thread like that and will be happy to contribute.

How can we protect non-trans women and girls in female spaces against those (not all) transwomen who are violent or sexually assualt/rape?
You don't need to say non-trans women. Just women is fine.

We should keep female spaces for females.

Be kind is what you say to children about how to behave around others

So you are suggesting fhat the whole #bekind thing was a load of rubbish? That we shouldn't treat other people kindly, or with respect? That if someone lives their life in a way that we don't like then we should respond with as much hate as we want? Wow.

Would you respond the same way to a woman who wanted to start living as a man? Would you have the bollocks to say the same things to a transgender person's face? I doubt it.

What was it post 10? Yes #bekind was a fucking load of rubbish which came about after a domestic abuser was caught, didnt like the shame and killed themselves. Unusually that domestic abuser was an adult born woman. Most abusers are adult born men. Abusers dont change their ways and there are too many of them caught up in the trans movement. So no thank you to #bekind - I would prefer to #besafe.

Now I'll read the remainder of the thread.

Indeed, fuck that. I'm so sorry for all you are going through. Being born with a female reproductive system, living in a body with one and its very specific disadvantages, is something every single female shares in. It's the only thing that every female on the planet has in common.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 10/06/2020 19:47

Great, isn't it? My observant Muslim friend's daughter had to stop going to the gym because a TW insisted going in the one women-only hour a week. But she should just suck it up and stop exercising, amirite?

Spot on. Fuck the women: Muslim women, Christian women, Jewish women. Who, in the name of all that's holy, do they think they are with their female only space demands? Hmm

Redannie118 · 10/06/2020 19:42

Im currently fighting for my life against a extremely aggressive eostrogen driven breast cancer
Before this I was getting regular iron infusions to combat anemia ( from horrific periods)so bad my life was pretty much on hold
Endometriosis left me throwing up with pain for 2 weeks per month and unable to get pregnant naturally
I had pre eclampsia with both my pregnacies. I also had emergency c- sections and nearly died each time.
I then went on to have such serious PND i was hallucinating, self-harming and planning my own death every day.
Every scar on my body, my self harm scars, my c-sections, whats left of my breast- all stem from my female reproductive system. I look like Frankensteins monster- all scars and lumps and bruises.
I am not alone. Pretty much every woman i know has faced at least one of these issues( or similar) over time.
Every day im being told my womb does not matter. That a man with a penis is as much a woman as i am. That i must not speak about what im going through in case it upsets transwomen with no womb.
Fuck that. Screenshot this for yourTwitter feed. Let the world see why we are so fucking angry.
The angry mob with pitchforks tried to silence Frankensteins monster. 200 years on we are still telling his story- only now we can see he wasnt the one who was the monster. Lets hope we dont have to wait that long

rather arse about face?

Love this. So descriptive.
Sorry to go of piste Grin

EboracumNovum · 10/06/2020 19:39

@Littlemeadow123

We'll just be over here, being kind ti women and girls

Yep. That's right. You just be kind to the people who are like you and only the people who are like you.

Erm...if you believe that transgender women and women are exactly the same isnt that statement rather arse about face?
LastRoloIsMine · 10/06/2020 19:35

JKs blog thingy has inspired me.

I have always been none committal on FB.
I see it as a way to catch up with family and friends. Lighthearted and easy.

However JK has inspired me so I have posted this:

There are so many important things to talk about right now I know that but...for some reason I have chosen now to voice my stance.

Maybe its the JK Rowling tweet and the uninvited Daniel Radcliffe apology.

I believe all humans deserve rights simply because human rights are the bench mark.

That said.
Males no matter how they feel , dress, present, choose or demand will never be female.
Females who dress, present, choose or demand will never be male.
I believe in biology and humans cannot change sex.

As a female with 13 year old daughters no male will ever be naked in front of them without their consent.
No matter how much he states his penis is female.
No matter how many times you call me a bigot or transphobic.
My daughters have the right to safety.
They have the right not to be forced to be naked in front of a male.

Call me all the names you want but I owe it to my daughters and their daughters to give them the same protections my female ancestors fought for and that I have taken for granted.

They are 13 years years old and it is my job to protect them.

Fairenuff · 10/06/2020 19:32

Why did that man only serve 3 months for raping an unconscious woman?

Be kind my arse.

SarahMcDonald · 10/06/2020 19:30

I'm deeply saddened at how prejudiced and intolerant people in this country are. I thought things were improving but it feels like we are going backwards

I couldn’t agree more. But I’m still waiting for someone to explain why women in prison should be at risk from male sex offenders. Why is no one kind to them?

Or don’t you want to admit they are just collateral damage in the men’s sexual rights campaign ?

Ickabog · 10/06/2020 19:21

#IStandWithJKR is trending on Twitter.

Her writing had a magical reaction all those years ago, and still does. I sincerely hope this piece has a similar affect, and opens so many eyes to what is happening.

DickKerrLadies · 10/06/2020 19:15

@NotTerfNorCis

#IStandWithJKR is trending on Twitter. Wish I had the guts to post it there. Which itself says something about how toxic this issue is and how women feel intimidated.
And there, just like here today, the people posting shit at her for what she's saying are proving that what she's saying is true - and they still do it.

Dick
I hat using buzz words but the gaslighting that goes on crushes me.

We know what abuse looks like. We may not recognise it but we can describe it. Yet we are always told we are making it up.

TW are women is the pinnacle of gaslighting.

DickKerrLadies · 10/06/2020 18:59

Predictably she's getting a response on twitter of "it didn't happen, and if it did, it wasn't that bad, and if it was, it wasn't our fault and you brought it on yourself anyway".

But yeah, what did happen to be kind?

Witchlight · 10/06/2020 18:56

Being pro woman means that you support each other. It doesn't mean that you turn on others simply because they were not born anatomically like you.

Absolutely, be kind and support one another. However, that doesn’t mean that the person you are supporting should have all their views affirmed. It also doesn’t mean you should subserve your own identity in order to support another.

There is a huge amount competing needs and rights in order to attain some semblance of equality.

So, on a train there is a disabled seat, for pregnant women and disabled people. If a woman sat in it because their feet were hurting ( not pregnant) they should still make way for a disabled person. It doesn’t matter that the women has been discriminated against and disadvantaged because they are A women. If despite his disability, the disabled man also has a huge amount of white, middle class, male privilege in spades, the seat still goes to the disabled man, because it has been set aside for the disabled.

Single sex spaces are similarly set aside for one sex, or another. It doesn’t matter if trans people are the most discriminated people in the history of mankind, the spaces are allocated and ring fenced by sex.

If trans people are being discriminated against to access non equality specified places and to live their lives as members of the human race eg housing, work, education etc I will be there marching with them and supporting them.

However, trans people don’t get to trump everyone else’s rights, they are not the only people to suffer discrimination. They also don’t get to police thoughts and speech because they disagree, or don’t like it. They are entitled to equality, not to become a sacred caste.

LastRoloIsMine · 10/06/2020 18:56

I just read JKs post blog whatever you want to call it.
WOW.
I am blown away.
Arguing pleading and begging with TRAS as I have today was pointless.
I do not have to pander to you and give you a list of reasons.
I am female.
Transwomen are not.
Thats a good enough reason.

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 10/06/2020 18:55

After you.

DickKerr Burgundy had a post deleted for implying that FWR commenters are racists. It's one of today's list of evidence-free but ugly accusations levelled at women who won't toe the line.
Ah well. I'll continue to wait.
