Pro-woman is just a euphemism for transphobic

Exactly that.

Transgender people are not eroding our rights as women. Although, the people making such spiteful and ignorant comments and talking about trying to stop them getting recognized as women are eroding their rights to be accepted, respected equal. Do you all honestly think that by speaking out AGAINST transgender people, you are going to be declared as heroes?

And what happened to be kind?

I hope OP is avoiding our questions simply because she's too busy on twitter telling all and sundry to be kind, especially the men who have called JKR c*t, b*h, and invited her to suck their dks or too go f*k herself (don't normally asterisk out swear words when I'm the one doing the swearing, but since these are aimed at JKR who is awesome, I'm going to do so out of respect for her).

(Thought it would be a good idea to have them here on thread, since the other possibility is that OP simply can't be arsed to follow links to anything that might counter her view and just wants to tell us to shut up be kind, repeatedly, without ever supplying anything that might even vaguely be counted as an argument.)

Ruffle, I would say if you have greaseproof paper to cover your surfaces with, it will save cleaning energy later. Do you have a sugar thermometer?

Turkish delight isnt too much more difficult than fudge if you can get hold of cream of tartar

Datun · 10/06/2020 14:07

Op, you said

Transgender people are not eroding our rights as women.

Do you believe women should continue to have all the rights they currently have in law.

Come on. It's a simple question. Yes or no will do.

Deltoids1 · 10/06/2020 14:07

This is not Twitter OP. This is a discussion board where we discuss ideas and posters argue their points.
You can’t just come on here to tell us off and dodge questions. If you’re going to do that, go back to Twitter.

Fivefourthree · 10/06/2020 14:07

I did not know very much about trans activists etc, and TWAW. Until fairly recently I fell into the 'live and let live' camp.
It's due the the intelligent discussion on these threads that my eyes have been opened to the reality of what's going on.
Women are women. Trans people are trans people.
It beggars belief that some trans people think they can actually change sex.
It all seems to be about gender stereotyping and/or fetish.

LookAtTheCahhOlivahhhhh · 10/06/2020 14:06

@Littlemeadow123 why are you avoiding this question?

Do you believe women should continue to have all the rights they currently have in law?

Pro-woman is just a euphemism for transphobic
SuperLoudPoppingAction · 10/06/2020 14:06

' if just one person reads this thread and has a rethink about the way they think and talk about transgender people then it will have been worth it.'

The way you talk to people (queries about glands etc) might not be the best way to facilitate change.

Dialogue works well.

There are some questions up thread you could answer, for eg

That might be Freirean of you.

StrangeLookingParasite · 10/06/2020 14:06

Do you believe women should continue to have all the rights they currently have in law?

RuffleCrow · 10/06/2020 14:06

By the way - i'm making fudge with the kids this pm - does anyone have any tips/ recipes?

Winesalot · 10/06/2020 14:06

I am posting these questions Littlemeadow123 because you seem to not be able to answer Dick's question. Fair enough, it is a weighty one. So, let's break it down to actual impacts on women's rights.

It will be good education for us (and the lurkers) to have the same information at hand that you have used for your research so we can actually engage in a meaningful way.

Or, are you truly just here to scold us for not being 'kind'.

And I might point out that getting women's right's changes reversed is time consuming and cumbersome and may never get to the same level of protection. Oh, and plus, in the meantime transgender people have their own protections and unless they are FEMALE don't actually require rights designed for FEMALES at this time.

MaleficentsCrow · 10/06/2020 14:06

I'm no math genius but if,

a=b therefore b=a

So pro-trans movement is sexist by your logic.

TooOldForSims · 10/06/2020 14:05

@Pertella

OP isnt answering any questions Sad
They're probably too hard for her Sad.
Datun · 10/06/2020 14:05

Jesus truthisarevolutionaryact

These people are absolutely unhinged. Frothing mad men.

A successful woman who wont toe their line must be dealt with.

Right side of history. Honestly.

And Daniel Radcliffe aligns himself with that. What a fucking idiot.

OhHolyJesus · 10/06/2020 14:05

If 'Pro Men' discriminates against transgender people then yes. If it includes them, then no.

Do pop over onto Dadsnet and start a thread with the same question then.

Don't discriminate and exclude the men when positioning your argument.

RuffleCrow · 10/06/2020 14:04

I guess if you think it's not possible to be in favour of treating adult human females as the distinct category of human that we are, without being 'phobic' that's your issue op! Grin

redbigbananafeet · 10/06/2020 14:04

Isn't it interesting how trans women claim that their penis is irrelevant to their sex and that we shouldn't feel threatened to have to share female space like changing rooms with a male bodied trans woman BUT as soon as someone disagrees with them it's their dicks that they use to threaten with? If JK had expressed her view while in a shower room what would that dick threat look like?

TooOldForSims · 10/06/2020 14:04

You also told everyone who responded to JKR's tweets to be kind as well didn't you? Like these people? What was their response?

LastRoloIsMine · 10/06/2020 14:04

Just in case you missed the question OP

Do you believe women should continue to have all the rights they currently have in law

Pertella · 10/06/2020 14:03

OP isnt answering any questions Sad

oooompa · 10/06/2020 14:03

I respect transwomen as transwomen.

I cannot accept transwomen are women as transwomen are adult human males. To accept them as women I'd have to believe there were no differences between males and females, which we all know is absurd.

Ickabog · 10/06/2020 14:02

@Littlemeadow123

Why won't you answer this question?

Do you believe women should continue to have all the rights they currently have in law?

gamerchick · 10/06/2020 14:02

I'll stick it in as well. Go on OP make me day and show you're not just another waffler.

Do you believe women should continue to have all the rights they currently have in law

I also want to know if you condone what's been put together in that link posted upthread? Put your money where your mouth is with your bekind stuff.

Is it ok to go on like that?

Dances · 10/06/2020 14:02

Have you read your own title OP?

Do you realise how ridiculous it is?

TooOldForSims · 10/06/2020 14:02

So what kind of responses did you get from the men on Piston Heads, OP? Because you are also telling men to be kind, right?

Wink
QuentinQuarantino · 10/06/2020 14:02

@Littlemeadow123

Please answer Dick's question:

"OP, do you believe women should continue to have all the rights they currently have in law?".

You've responded to the lone meaningless post supporting your viewpoint so are clearly reading the replies.
