Creepy AGP reviews on M&S website

I've noticed quite a few online reviews from men of M&S lingerie. These knickers are the latest I've seen. 3 reviews, 2 of which are by men.
I get the feeling that the review is part of the AGP fetish. It reminds me of flashing in that it's intended to make women/girls feel uncomfortable/shocked/embarrassed. I've seen men reviewing bras from the "Angel" first bra range too.

Ugh, just vile. Surely M&S should take those reviews down with they are so clearly the acting out of a fetish.

HorseRadishFemish · 19/05/2020 11:17

I've always hated that word too.

CovidicusRex · 19/05/2020 10:54

I’m really surprised. I mean they aren’t exactly fetish material are they? I always assumed that cross dressers bought thongs from Victoria’s Secret. Also the word panties is just awful.

Lordfrontpaw · 19/05/2020 10:53

Might be a problem - it the woman can’t speak up.

Datun · 19/05/2020 10:51

I had read it that M&S had employed someone to fit bras for transwoman.

Sorry, no, I wasn't clear.

I don't know how it works but if a woman isn't comfortable with the transwoman fitting her bra, I wonder if that's a problem.

SarahTancredi · 19/05/2020 10:39

When asked if they would be fine with a male member of staff who said they identified as female, they said yes, that would do perfectly

Ha yes they had their arse handed to them for assuming the door person's gender

What is it with these people so obssessed with forcing women to touch their body/junk.

They mentioned nothing about asking for a gender identity so the idea that the door person identifing as a woman would have been ok with the is nonsense.

KenDodd · 19/05/2020 10:26

Clymene

Oh! Very different.
I had read it that M&S had employed someone to fit bras for transwoman.

Michelleoftheresistance · 19/05/2020 10:22

Seem to remember a certain women's officer going berserk at a male member of staff being presented to search them at a night club and demanding a female member of staff to do it.

When asked if they would be fine with a male member of staff who said they identified as female, they said yes, that would do perfectly.

My eyes just don't roll that far. The games male people play with female lives and realities.

Lordfrontpaw · 19/05/2020 10:21

Like the assistant in a local TK Maxx - could world in any other department (there are 2 floors of women’s clothes) but is working in the one with the lingerie.

Clymene · 19/05/2020 10:18

Just to be clear, the transwoman bra fitter at Oxford Circus (iirc it's the Pantheon store, rather than the Marble Arch one) isn't a bra fitter who works with transwomen, they are a transwoman who works as a bra fitter.

KenDodd · 19/05/2020 10:12

Actually, I'd love to see that. I wonder if they'd have a hissy fit because the fitter isn't a real woman.

KenDodd · 19/05/2020 10:11

The transwoman bra fitter might be a transwoman themselves. We can only hope and imagine how disappointed the apg transwoman customer will be while being fitted.

Lordfrontpaw · 19/05/2020 10:00

Because every little girl dreams of growing up to be a bra fitter...

KenDodd · 19/05/2020 09:59

Well, you're in luck then. Because there is a transwoman bra fitter at the Marks & Spencer Marble Arch store !

Good! I hope they have their own private changing room as well. This is exactly the sort of provision needed. Presumably the fitter applied for this specific job, transwoman is getting the service they need and no women is being forced to manhandle (!) them.

Bananabixfloof · 19/05/2020 09:33

Totally forgot to add sports.
I suspect very soon all the womens records will be broken and I don't think we will ever get them back.
When the women's 100 metre sprint world record was set in 1988, what chance do we have if any decent sprinter ids as woman. What sports will be left to us after they've been infiltrated and are unsafe and or unfair to play. We would never again make it to the Olympics. Even if quite mediocre athletes took our spots we probably could not beat them.

I think its 100,000 teen boys at this moment could beat florence Griffith-Joyners 100 metre record. Set back in 1988. That no women have bettered as yet.

Lordfrontpaw · 19/05/2020 09:19

Women cant object to Billy being there.

Lordfrontpaw · 19/05/2020 09:18

If the changing rooms are in fact mixed, can’t a male member of staff help Billy with his bra fitting? Billy can’t object to Big Dave assisting as women can object to Billy being in the changing rooms in the ladies clothes section.

What about the person who had a bit of a meltdown because a changing room assistant didn’t immediately clock that they were gender neutral (and therefore could use all changing rooms apparently) and got very upset (again M&S) and a grovelling apology from them.

This was in Scotland (oh the shame, Scotland the woke).

Bananabixfloof · 19/05/2020 09:12

And this is the point I feel it’s wrong. The man’s right ends where the woman’s right starts. Nobody should have to help fit underwear to a person of the opposite sex
Far as i can see women dont have rights in this matter.
We have to search them if that is our job and they id as female, we have to share hospital wards, because they are women, they can join us locked up in our prison (quite possibly with a mother and child unit) where we literally have no escape, because woman.
But it's all so stunning and brave and unicorns and sparkles.

Durgasarrow · 19/05/2020 06:12

so unsanitary in every way

Datun · 19/05/2020 00:51

Nobody should have to help fit underwear to a person of the opposite sex.

And this is the point I feel it’s wrong. The man’s right ends where the woman’s right starts. Nobody should have to help fit underwear to a person of the opposite sex. There should be no discrimination against the shop assistant who say they would prefer not to.

KenDodd · 18/05/2020 22:25

And presumably a female assistant has to help him.

Bananabixfloof · 18/05/2020 22:15

Can they book bra fittings
Yes of course. In any shop not even just m and s. Bravissimo and John Lewis etc

KenDodd · 18/05/2020 22:05

Question about men buying bras at M&S

Can they book bra fittings?

Bananabixfloof · 18/05/2020 21:36

You do not have a right to stop others posting reviews as I don’t think it is against the law for men to buy knickers. Posting reviews on buying knickers does not fall under the single sex exemption law There are going to be reviews which I feel go into too much detail re female bodies and I do feel the reviews above are in bad taste
However, I don’t have a right of protection here and I shouldn’t have

Its definitely not against the law to buy stuff and post reviews. That's fine I can choose to not read them and obviously not buy wanked on knickers. I think my biggest problem in this specific case with m and s is they should just be honest. Say loud and proud they cater to mens fetishes and men are allowed in any changing room (to be clear this includes the former childrens change room too)

And all the other companies whilst I'm thinking about this in any depth. If they are so convinced this is ok, then advertise that fact.
I dont believe the companies do feel this is the right thing. They know damn well they'll lose customers, so they hide these changes hoping enough people wont say anything and no one will believe them if they do. Or that enough time will pass and they can say well we've been doing this for x years and no one else has had a problem.
