Great stuff. I remember seeing reports of MNers seeing the adult human female postcards in the Science Museum shop. Now it seems they were being deposited all over the place before the lockdown. Brava, women!

When Robin describes the statement 'Adult Human Female' as having nasty baggage attached to it, shows exactly what Robin thinks about women and girls.

Predictable. I see not one of the commentator's to my earlier post has the intellectual courage to think through this act of hatred from the perspective of a trans person
I see you're assuming that there are no trans people on this board. How predictably genderist of you.
As to 'courage' (intellectual or otherwise), you've no idea about the huge range of life experiences, education, intellect, beliefs, politics and so on, of the many, many women on here. To you, we're every one of us just trans-hating witches, bigot, fascists and monsters.
If I were you, I'd spend a few days reading through the threads on here before posting again.

LadyBBKing · 13/04/2020 20:57

No hatred Robin.

A woman is an adult human female who deserves the rights and freedom women have fought for for centuries

A transwoman is a transwoman

WrathofFaeKIopp · 13/04/2020 20:39

Yes JellySlice
How different the postcard-placers felt - some brave, some terrified - yet each felt empowered by her small action. Each one knew that she was doing something worthwhile and important
This is a truth that deserves respect and needs repeating.

Respect for women and girls rights.

RobinMoiraWhite · 13/04/2020 20:30

Predictable. I see not one of the commentator's to my earlier post has the intellectual courage to think through this act of hatred from the perspective of a trans person, given the nasty baggage that has attached to that particular statement presented in that particular way. Just as the sanskrit 'peace' synbol has come to mean something different. By all means carry on acting through hatred but dont be surprised by the effect that has on to the reception of your argument.

WrathofFaeKIopp · 13/04/2020 19:30

A hate crime, I would have thought

Robin
You are the vanguard of Godwins Law.

Nazis? ffs.

Twat.

Michelleoftheresistance · 13/04/2020 19:11

Quite, Lady.

The response to the massive majority of people on being told a dictionary definition postcard is anything but a statement of fact is going to be 'don't be so damn silly'.

Just how silly this political lobby truly is gets demonstrated around here on a daily basis with no self awareness whatever.

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 13/04/2020 18:53

I'm sure I've seen one of these postcards while out over the Christmas period which really surprised me because I though only half a dozen right wing religious fanatics with hundreds of sock accounts each really believe it. I thought its supposed to be

Woman: Just a feeling 💅

LadyBBKing · 13/04/2020 18:53

There must have some element of fear and then yet joy leaving postcards describing what a woman is on shelves in public places.
Best of all (and this is for the Robins) I showed my teen daughter the article and she told me I was weird.. "of course women are adult human females!, what are you on about woman!".

LastTrainEast · 13/04/2020 18:38

I do think it is a brilliant idea and amusing that it might make some money for the place too.

JellySlice · 13/04/2020 18:35

Shall we ignore Robin's offensive plopping, and return our focus instead to that beautiful article?

How different the postcard-placers felt - some brave, some terrified - yet each felt empowered by her small action. Each one knew that she was doing something worthwhile and important.

An amazing direct action that caused no danger and no harm.

LastTrainEast · 13/04/2020 18:31

RobinMoiraWhite maybe you can arrange to have the dictionary arrested. Or failing that just find a copy and punch it.

SophocIestheFox · 13/04/2020 17:35

Good to know that despite the pandemic, hyperbole supply hasn’t been impacted, although it does look like Robin might have been panic buying and stockpiling it.

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 13/04/2020 17:33

I assume Robin read the revolting article on Medium calling for direct action against the female volunteers at VRR? I must have missed their condemnation of that.

Or is incitement to violence fine but dictionary definitions are hate crime?

midcenturylegs · 13/04/2020 17:32

"That is beyond disgusting Robin, I honestly have no patience left to engage with you when you stoop so low you use those women and the utter horrors they suffered. How dare you? No, males hearing the word 'no' are not suffering genocide, forcible mutilation, random execution, massed death from starvation and cholera, or deaths in numbers and horrors unknown in your very overprivileged lifetime you utter muppet."

^^ I would've used a stronger word than muppet, Michelle - you are very polite.

Robin - feel free to explain to me please (because I'm you know, female, and a bit dim) how a transwoman seeing that postcard in a museum shop equates to everything Michelle describes above. And do you think there is going to be a real chance in the future that women are going to rise up, Hitler-like, and cause mass killings by gas, cholera of transwomen?

Or is it just being told you're not women and being mid-gendered men are angry about?

Pertella · 13/04/2020 16:35

Robin thinks that the German Nazi view of Jews is the dictionary definition of Jews?

Robin sound like a bit of a racist and anti semite.

Pertella · 13/04/2020 16:33

Woman: Adult Human Female

I'll await the police...

Michelleoftheresistance · 13/04/2020 16:30

Will the postcarders be celebrating the 75th anniversary of liberating Belsen by distributing postcards reflecting the view of Jews current in 30's Germany

That is beyond disgusting Robin, I honestly have no patience left to engage with you when you stoop so low you use those women and the utter horrors they suffered. How dare you? No, males hearing the word 'no' are not suffering genocide, forcible mutilation, random execution, massed death from starvation and cholera, or deaths in numbers and horrors unknown in your very overprivileged lifetime you utter muppet.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 13/04/2020 15:42

Excellent
also thank you upthread for describing postcards with the definition of woman as symbols of hatred 🤣🤣🤣

midcenturylegs · 13/04/2020 15:33

Fab. Methinks there are some that might be trying to draw analogies between Nazism and the definition of a woman because they are a bit angry.. perhaps because the museums are closed so there is no one to complain to, and those postcards are likely sat there unseen yet still causing literal violence.

MissingLinker · 13/04/2020 14:15

How does Robin define woman if not Adult Human Female?

truthisarevolutionaryact · 13/04/2020 13:55

Wow.I know that deranged trans activists parrot on twitter that the dictionary definition of a woman is a hate crime but it makes me Shock to see it written here - aimed at a forum full of women.

The definition of a biological woman is now considered (by some) to be a hate crime. What is it we call a hatred of women?? Ah yes, misogyny.

NonnyMouse1337 · 13/04/2020 13:54

Really great to see this. :)

Hope to see the postcards pop up in more places in future.

MindTheMinotaur · 13/04/2020 13:51

Nora I read the book, I didn't realise it was based on a true story. What courage.
