Why is there such a large portion of the feminist movement so against trans culture. Trans people have been some of the biggest advocates for supporting allegedly oppressed groups. Why is it suddenly okay to for feminists (a formally oppressed group) to oppress trans people (currently oppressed group) why?

Now I've had to google Tim Tam ... That's the first thing on this thread which looks delicious but afaik we can't get them in the U.K.Envy

Winesalot · 09/04/2020 00:31

I think you are quite right Errol. They plopped and ran .....

WaktiWapnasi · 09/04/2020 00:30

There was no dissapointment like it than my Gran giving us Del Monte Fruit Cocktail and then ruining it with the obligatory splat if Pink Blancmange. Yuk.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/04/2020 00:28

RE Milk, there was a coronavirus thread that defined bread and milk as "non essential food items", which struck me as a bit unrealistic in a British context.

Winesalot · 09/04/2020 00:27

I have discovered through trial and error that the very best biscuit for hot tea is a Tim tam. It melts the chocolate and the biscuit doesn’t crumble and make sludge.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/04/2020 00:26

I have to say, my expectations in terms of TRA behavior are low but even so setting off smoke bombs near Grenfell was a new level of are you fucking kidding me.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/04/2020 00:26

I don't think the OP is going to tell us anything, wines.

Not even on the subject of weird things to make with milk.

TinselAngel · 09/04/2020 00:25

"Chewy tea", is like a euphemism for sick.

Winesalot · 09/04/2020 00:24

Or maybe OP can tell us honestly why intimidating women meeting to discuss politics by strapping on dildos and masks is endearing..... or was it the pink fairy lights wrapped around the dildo?

Oh and why a group of trans activists thought letting smoke bombs off in Grenfell was supporting a community still dealing with loss and being without homes. .....

FloralBunting · 09/04/2020 00:24

Chewy tea.

This is like some hideous dream where every aspect makes it worse.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/04/2020 00:23

In iced tea?

ErrolTheDragon · 09/04/2020 00:22

If you want bits in your tea why not just stick to dunking biscuits?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/04/2020 00:21

They're sweet and chewy, Tinsel.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/04/2020 00:20

I wonder if they meant to write "Blaminge" and were foiled by either autocorrect or their own incompetence.

Zhuleva · 09/04/2020 00:20

Women are the most systematically oppressed group in the history of humankind. No matter the race or culture, the women always come out worse. And now there are men (and their handmaidens) who are trying to demolish the very definition of ‘woman’. It’s the ultimate act of misogyny.

TinselAngel · 09/04/2020 00:20

I always assumed that the bubbles in bubble tea are like those bath pearl things with a squishy dissolvable plastic outer and a liquid / gel centre (but smaller), is that not the case?

ErrolTheDragon · 09/04/2020 00:19

I wouldn't bother tbh, buzz, the most interesting thing about the OP turned out to be their name.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 09/04/2020 00:18

On Buzz's point, I would suggest that if what you're doing is a legit civil rights movement then you probably don't find yourself needing to threaten people with festively decorated baseball bats.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/04/2020 00:16

Your theory may be correct, Tartyflette, they merely meant I ate more tinned fruit.
I probably got all my calcium from tinned pilchards so I don't think I was exactly a fussy eater.ConfusedGrin

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 09/04/2020 00:16

To come back to OP and their complete genuine and not in the least bit goady query, attached pics.

I'm not sure why the what I now realize was tapioca with jam was unacceptable but the big tapioca balls in bubble tea are fine. Maybe because discrete pieces rather than gooey and looks like sperm?

(It really did, at least to my 14 year old self.)

MrsTerryPratchett · 09/04/2020 00:15

It hasn't really changed, its more a change along the lines of ''the artist formerly known as Prince'' sort of change.

I read through multiple fucking pages of slime to make that joke and someone beat me to it. Bastard.

Sushiroller · 09/04/2020 00:14

FloralBunting · 09/04/2020 00:13

I don't know about anyone else, but this lockdown I have mostly been thinking about all the nice food I'm not eating, so it's made a refreshing change to think about slime pudding and cups of cold milky tea with fish eggs and fruit juice in it.

Which I will also not be eating.

Winesalot · 09/04/2020 00:13

I take it that OP is never coming back with any answers.... sigh.

I did like remembering that my mum loved hot Weetbix and sliced banana though. So, that was a lovely reminder.
