That's the trans pledge card that Labour's new deputy leader, Angela Rayner, and Labour's new shadow foreign secretary, Lisa Nandy, both signed.

The one that said women meeting to discuss women's rights is a hate crime.

'Floe Exotic', who is a transwoman, tweeted in block capitals 'BYE-BYE HONEY' to the news that Boris Johnson is now in intensive care.

Interested to see how differently the two are treated. Whether there's something about one of them which protects him from the consequences of his actions...

PronounssheRa · 07/04/2020 18:18

A Labour councillor has been expelled for similar www.itv.com/news/central/2020-04-07/labour-councillor-expelled-from-party-for-boris-johnson-coronavirus-comments/

Lets see what they do with this utterly nasty specimen.

I still can't belief nandy and co signed that pledge, how fucking naive/stupid/desperate for woke cookies do you have to be to risk you reputation with people like Flo.

koshkatt · 07/04/2020 17:47

Thanks Jintyfer.

Hope that nasty little shit gets booted out AND banned

I agree.

Jintyfer · 07/04/2020 17:38

@koshkatt thanks for saying that. The caveats of "I'm no fan of Boris" and "I'm no Tory" have really been upsetting me. It's like making one of those "I'm sorry but..." apologies. They are all over Twitter too. It's ok and perfectly humane to simply wish a very sick person well without worrying about losing woke points in the process.

Anyway, I've also tweeted to
The main signatories concerned. Hope that nasty little shit gets booted out AND banned.

Politics is a matter of opinion and the lefty approach to Boris on here shows this underlying arrogance that people cannot have different opinions. I like many people who have different opinions to me; someone I like likes Donald Trump and that is fine, I understand why they do. It is their opinion and makes up a very small part of who they are. It is crass and crude, and I would go so far as to say, uneducated, to dislike someone purely based on a difference of opinion.

I like and dislike politicians from all political parties because of a range of issues, often relating to cults, corruption and support for quackery and snake oil.

I don't understand why you are assuming that all the posters here who dislike BJ or his politics are "lefty".

My politics are left of centre, but I dislike extremes of the left or right and like you I have friends across the political sprectrum.

I have very specific reasons for distrusting BJ and I am definitely not going to disclose them when the man is our prime minister and seriously ill in hospital at a time of national crisis.

I am distinctly unimpressed with Corbyn of late and I suspect that many of the posters here who are critical of BJ are similarly unimpressed with Corbyn and what Labour has become under his leadership.

I am happy to stand corrected if this is not the case

BatShite · 07/04/2020 15:19

Starmer was right to distance himself. It doesn't take long for these kinds of people to show who they really are.

I cannot stand Johnson but I don't wish ill on him and hope he pulls through this.

OnlyTheLangoftheTitBerg · 07/04/2020 14:21

the DWP under the Tories having targets, that should say.

There is a vast difference between having a different political opinion to a friend, which is likely to have a fairly small effect on one's day-to-day life, and having been directly affected by the policies implemented by a politician and his party the way anyone who has had to navigate the benefits system, the NHS or foodbanks under the Tories has been. The fact MH support within the NHS is virtually non-existent compared to 10 years ago and the DWP under the Tories has targets to get 20% of recipients off disability benefits (against the fraud rate they calculated themselves as being 0.5%) has a daily impact on my life, so you can be damned sure I will say "I despise the politics Johnson represents but I wish him a full recovery" because it is far, far more than merely a "difference of opinion".

On topic: that TRA is a narcissistic twat and most of the current Labour party are woke idiots.

QuimReaper · 07/04/2020 14:01

Just seen from @DrudgeJedd's link that Emily Thornberry signed it in the end - I thought she was resisting?

Kantastic · 07/04/2020 13:51

I don't mean open condemnation, to be clear, more like getting friendly journalists to openly link this disgraceful behaviour to Nandy or Angela Rayner or whoever else signed it.

Kantastic · 07/04/2020 13:49

But Labour might use it against each other?

If I was a political rival of someone who had signed that Trans Pledge, I'd want to make sure that this doesn't slip by unnoticed. And anyone who thinks the TRAs in the party might be out to get them at some point should be using this opportunity to discredit that faction, and the way to do that is to make the well-known names who supported them very embarrassed they did so. I'd be amazed if this doesn't get some kind of coverage.

Am I more venal and self-serving than actual politicians? Surely not. Blush

truthisarevolutionaryact · 07/04/2020 13:14

I'd be very surprised to see any condemnation of this by any senior Labour party officials. There is a complete reluctance to criticise any aspect of this ideology - no matter how twisted or dangerous. It's just "oh that person / group doesn't represent...." over and over again.

So they carry on with their ethics free vile commentary expecting only total compliance / obedience. I really hope I'm wrong but time will tell.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/04/2020 13:04

This is self indulgent, attention seeking fun for people with personality disorders. The fun is to be found in both the letting loose with shocking behaviour, smashing all normal boundaries and expectations, and in the reaction, attention and outrage it garners. Supply. The pathology is all over it.

This. It's transparent. And anyone who doesn't see it is pretty hard of thinking.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 07/04/2020 12:40

Oh and im sorry i fell for the derail

Apologies its not a derail, its just an opinion

i shouldn't feel the Need to ‘defend’ people

Michelleoftheresistance · 07/04/2020 12:37

Really, this illustrates yet again the answer to a great deal of the MRA political lobby and to many other significant issues in society right now is to train nationally and widely about personality disorders, how to recognise and deal effectively with the behaviours associated which include grooming, coercion, boundary trampling, attention vaccuuming and manipulation, (all stuff well known on the relationships board), and then to look at how to adapt job interviews and assessments for competency to pick up those behaviours to prevent them being used by someone in a position of trust or public responsibility, (Jon Ronson's The Sociopath Test is quite interesting reading here) and to prevent them sucking up and derailing massive amounts of public servant time and money to no purpose other than immediate need-meeting experiences and acting out facilitation.

Dances · 07/04/2020 12:33

This person looks like Yaniv

Sexnotgender · 07/04/2020 12:30

What a sad little sack of shit.

How pathetic must your life be that you need to do that.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 07/04/2020 12:28

Oh and im sorry i fell for the derail

The point of the thread i thought was to discuss this individuals tweet and whether labour should step up and do something about it

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 07/04/2020 12:27

I would go so far as to say, uneducated, to dislike someone purely based on a difference of opinion

Oh for goodness sake

I am not a lefty...I don’t like or dislike Him based on a difference of opinion

Those exact same threads are full of ‘i like/love boris...i hope he gets well’

Michelleoftheresistance · 07/04/2020 12:26

This immature, ethic-free nastiness is now a well known trademark of this political lobby. Labour have a very brief window left before it becomes their trademark too.

This is self indulgent, attention seeking fun for people with personality disorders. The fun is to be found in both the letting loose with shocking behaviour, smashing all normal boundaries and expectations, and in the reaction, attention and outrage it garners. Supply. The pathology is all over it. Any sane political party should have the experience to spot this and then to get as far away from it as possible.

HorseRadishFemish · 07/04/2020 12:22

Thank you Drudge and Eresh.

koshkatt · 07/04/2020 12:15

Whatever happened to the Left? Sad

CheeryTreeBlossom · 07/04/2020 12:10

www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-derbyshire-52198488

**A town mayor has apologised for saying Prime Minister Boris Johnson "completely deserves this" after he was admitted to intensive care.

Sheila Oakes, a Labour councillor and mayor of Heanor, in Derbyshire, made the comments below a Facebook post about the news.

Ms Oakes' local Labour party leader said he was "appalled" and said there would be an inquiry.**

Will be interesting to see if the tweeter has similar reaction from the party.
