Men pushing in in queues and not social distancing.

I know in the scheme of things this is only small but its the bloody entitlement that gets to me.

When the new Coronavirus Bill came in last Thursday two men used the 2 m gap to try to push in front while i was queuing outside Tesco.

Re, social distancing , i try i really try to stay 2m from people at all times on the rare occasions but the amount of men who walk right next to me or towards me KNOWING that i will move.

This afternoon was the final straw Queuing outside Sainsburys observing the 2 m rule i had to wait until the queue moved to where the trolleys were . There was no way i could get to them BEFORE queuing and observe the 2m rule so i had to wait in the queue before i got to them. I leant across to put my pound in the slot and the FOUR men queuing behind me jumped the queue by moving along in front.

Im so fed up with the entitlement Every time its been a man EVERY TIME. Ive not seen this from women at all .

"they", being Morris Dancers.

TinselAngel · 08/04/2020 15:38

I avoided threatening HorseRadishFemish with one of those broom stick things that they tap together.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/04/2020 15:31

And also less cruel. Nobody deserves death by Morris costume.

TinselAngel · 08/04/2020 15:31

It's not the nicest whisky but that's a bit harsh! Grin

FloralBunting · 08/04/2020 15:30

That would be more effective.

HorseRadishFemish · 08/04/2020 15:28

.. kill you with bells..

Thought you meant whisky for a second!

HorseRadishFemish · 08/04/2020 15:27

Mean Girls is one of my favourite films and I recommend it. The excellent Tina Fey wrote the screenplay and plays a great part in it. Any 30rock fans?

TinselAngel · 08/04/2020 15:16

And a hey nonny no...

TinselAngel · 08/04/2020 15:15

.someone's gotta tellum. Where is this forum?

I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you with bells, and a crisp white hanky.

HorseRadishFemish · 08/04/2020 15:13

I really dislike Morris Dancing but I don't go on Morris dancing forums and tell them they're all doing it wrong.

Don't get me started - the "choreography" is so last century and those bells...someone's gotta tellum. Where is this forum?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/04/2020 15:07

We also cut each others fringes sometimes. Pro tip - don't do that.

Datun · 08/04/2020 15:06

One of my friends had a perm so bad, it looked like she had a toupee made of pubes on top of her head.

🤣🤣

(Although to be fair, so did I..)

R0wantrees · 08/04/2020 15:06

I certainly never high-fived anyone. I don't actually think it was a thing, to be honest.

Sounds more like those made up American high schools to me.

Datun Me neither.
There was a film wasnt there called 'mean girls' ?
I haven't seen it.

Stamp foot, fold arms, grumpy grumpy grumpy.

Double lol bantz

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/04/2020 15:01

Other than being cold all the time my strongest memory of school was when my friend tried to dye her own hair and dyed her forehead too, so she walked around looking like she was part Smurf for a week or two.

HorseRadishFemish · 08/04/2020 15:00

Did you need a link to the coronavirus section for all your non feminist analysis related needs?

Lol bantz

My school was characterised by terrible haircuts, being boiling hot in the summer, freezing cold in the winter.

I certainly never high-fived anyone. I don't actually think it was a thing, to be honest.

Sounds more like those made up American high schools to me.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/04/2020 14:58

My school could have been a case study in the optimum number of layers between arse and heater needed in order to maintain body heat without getting burns that would be awkward to explain.

TinselAngel · 08/04/2020 14:55

If it'd be a hotbed it would have solved the heating problem too Kittens

My (co-ed) school was also freezing in winter. We all wore leggings under our skirts and spent all break time huddled around the radiator.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 08/04/2020 14:54

Crikey, was everybody's girls' school a hotbed of mean girls, cool girls, ostracisation and gangs??

Didn't go to a girls school.

having or showing an attitude of patronizing superiority.

Thanks, I know what condescending means, and you've just proved my point.

Nobody has been ostracised. You're just not being agreed with. It's not the same thing.

No problem with you disagreeing. It's the personal insults, the gang mentality, the "ooh aren't we clever" giggling and high fiving but this is and always will be an echo chamber, so no change there.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/04/2020 14:51

I wish my school had been a hotbed for drugs...would have been a lot more exciting.

FloralBunting · 08/04/2020 14:50

I heard my school was a hotbed for drugs. I never even saw a spliff and spent most of my time there trying to play football at break and being told to get off the playground and stand at the edge with the other girls.

I reckon some feminist analysis of male pattern behaviour might have served me well, eh?

Flumo · 08/04/2020 14:50

Definitely not just men!!

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 08/04/2020 14:47

My school could have done with better heating and more edible food but other than that it was just, you know, a school.
