It was flashing? Where/why would you even buy a flashing willy? The mind boggles. Can you imagine your kid heading for the front door on that get up?

I’m assuming non-locals (everyone in west London knows exactly where Grenfell is) and students having a jolly.

SunsetBeetch · 10/03/2020 16:40

I think someone may have misread Helen Steel's tweet (copied below ,my emphasis in bold).

"While trans activists assert it is 'triggering' to them for women to talk about periods or our bodies, they apparently think it's fine to turn up to protest outside a women's meeting wearing a balaclava & a flashing penis & filming women while asking for our names & where we live t.co/6XtQS1Ts3U "

"We can't be fascists if we're employing anti fascist methods" riiiight

"We had to cover our faces for our own safety" - yet they were getting right in the women's faces, demanding to know their names and taking photos of them.

And as for the dildos, wtf else is that except sexual intimidation?

What absolute gutless scumbags.

Lordfrontpaw · 10/03/2020 16:35

But they were let off to cause alarm, fear and to intimidate. Isn’t that intent some sort of crime?

SunsetBeetch · 10/03/2020 16:31

Patrick Strudwick (very pro TRA BuzzFeed writer) has actually condemned the smoke bombs. Much to the chargrin of a certain TRA.

NYnachos · 10/03/2020 16:14

There was no interaction- we walked out while they jeered and chanted at us.

NameChangeOctober · 10/03/2020 15:44

I agree - we didn't interact at all

definitelygc · 10/03/2020 15:30

So exactly how we are supposed to have done anything to these rude, abusive, intolerant, bigoted idiots

I think you'll find that by not sharing their worldview you are "erasing their existence" and so you must be shut down and silenced at all costs. And by complaining about being harassed and threatened you are "weaponising your tears" against a marginalised group. Sounds totally reasonable to me.

MoltenLasagne · 10/03/2020 14:47

This may be a stupid question, but aren't smoke bombs illegal? Surely there should have been some action from the police.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 10/03/2020 14:42

That’s hilarious. As a woman at the meeting, we ignored them.

To a narcissist there's nothing more invalidating than being ignored. How dare you act as if they're not incredibly important?

RoyalCorgi · 10/03/2020 14:36

Even if the meeting hadn't been near Grenfell, it still wouldn't have been acceptable to let off smoke bombs, which are frightening and disturbing. What absolutely vile people they are, and how disgraceful no one from the Labour leadership has condemned them.

Cwenthryth · 10/03/2020 14:33

I just read in Panda Monroe's write up that the women at the meeting were "invalidating and othering" them.
That’s hilarious. As a woman at the meeting, we ignored them. We walked past them and didn’t address them or acknowledge them at all. There was zero interaction between attendees and protestors that I saw as I entered and exited. So exactly how we are supposed to have done anything to these rude, abusive, intolerant, bigoted idiots that invited themselves along to intimidate and harass us, because we don’t share their worldview, is a mystery to me.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 10/03/2020 14:29

Maybe they identify as socialists, but...

stumbledin · 10/03/2020 14:27

I am glad everyone who went is safe.

There really doesn't seem to be any level to which those who are so self absorbed that they can convince themselves they are right, will not sink to put on a public display of their "rightness".

On a slight tangent so called socialists groups have behaved very badly and exploititively towards the horror of Grenfell. At one time it was so bad that local people were begging the mainstream media not to publish quotes from a group that said they represented local people. And for about a week they didn't, but because they would put out click baity type quotes the scum that is the "news" media in this country just reported it as fact.

At the enquiry when it was reported that Grenfell tenants had disrupted the hearing because of people giving evidence being except from prosecution (on what they said in court, not what the police might eventually dig up), it was it fact 3 white male youths, with very posh accents saying they were North Kensington Young Socialists.

It is shameful. And all to often its from people claiming to be socialists.

So letting off smoke bombs within site of Grenfell is about the level of insensitive ego boosting selfie protesting young people are being seen to carry out.

And far from being socialist or even community minded it is what people used to call bourgeois individualism! Grin

definitelygc · 10/03/2020 14:20

Hang on guys. I just read in Panda Monroe's write up that the women at the meeting were "invalidating and othering" them. This is literal violence. Get out the masks, strap ons and smoke bombs, we've got some terfs to fuck up.

Honestly, these people are insufferable.

Lordfrontpaw · 10/03/2020 13:56

‘Realised too late’ so not local and somehow missed the huge white shrouded building (that you just cant miss). And no apology to those survivors and locals traumatised?

Lordfrontpaw · 10/03/2020 13:53

I have not seen this reported on any media outlet.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 10/03/2020 13:33

'Panda Monroe' [WTF emoticon goes HERE] says the police were there throughout! Just like the meeting in Brighton, then.

SunsetBeetch · 10/03/2020 13:21

"Panda Monroe was at our No TERFs on our Turf protest last night. They wrote up a summary of their experiences and their challenge to "sensibility politics" about what is deemed "acceptable" as protest action. Great reading from our comrade!

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 10/03/2020 13:07

Well, they would have if they bothered to show up before the very end, and if there wasn't some sort of unofficial "you can't go arresting members of the special caste" policy in place.

definitelygc · 10/03/2020 13:04

Without wanting to get too technical that looked more like a strap on to me. Still not sure it's legal to walk around in public with a strap on though... I suspect the police would have something to say about that.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 10/03/2020 12:33

Having now seen Helen Steel's tweet, why was the, um, gender unidentified young person with their cock out and wrapped in pink string not arrested? Is it OK to have your cock out in public if you festoon it with celebratory bunting?

Clymene · 10/03/2020 11:01

The Labour Party don't care lizziesidal. The women who attended this meeting are part of a hate group and deserve everything they get.

They didn't care when WPUK's meeting was terrorised in Brighton and they don't care about this either. They support this.

definitelygc · 10/03/2020 10:55

I've emailed my MP. Let's see if I get a response...
