I think it is clear, or it must be to you by now that we have a fundamental ideological disagreement.

Exactly.

Male sexed people (men) are not female (women). That is a proven, biological fact whether some people like it or not

Those people can parrot the twaw mantra all day long, but it doesn't make it any less false.

Justhadathought · 09/03/2020 09:23

Oh cis is offensive but calling a trans woman a man isn't? Haha. Right.
They're no better than the misogynistic patriarchy that has oppressed women forever

Yes, it is offensive, deeply so.......perhaps even more offensive to many women than 'misgendering' might be to someone who goes along with that whole idea.

I don't think you really grasp that patriarchy is rule by men. Whereby men/males get to make, enforce and codify rules and laws......including the ones that women have to live by.

This is the biggest fight that there has been for many a decade because what we are witnessing is the reality of actual women being re-defined without their say so...and against their own best interests.....

I do think you ought to do a bit of reading around the history of the women's movement.......

Ereshkigalangcleg · 09/03/2020 09:22

I think it is clear, or it must be to you by now that we have a fundamental ideological disagreement.

A fundamental disagreement about material reality.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 09/03/2020 09:20

I'm not sure why people keep using that definition as a way of disregarding trans women. That definition still includes trans women

Adult human female. Female: of the sex which can produce ova (large gametes)

So, no.

R0wantrees · 09/03/2020 09:19

Blatent false allegations being admissions?

This is an indicative behaviour pattern in abuse/control dynamics.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 09/03/2020 09:15

None of you can call yourself feminists. You don't understand the meaning of feminism

I mean, we could use dictionary definitions to help us here, but then some people get ever so upset when we do. Denying reality must be tiring after so long.

Justhadathought · 09/03/2020 09:14

My daughter will not be told she must be feminine or she's not a real woman. That is literally what you are doing on this thread

The irony of this comment, is that it is the complete antithesis of what the stance is. there does seem to be a whole shed load of confusion amongst proponents of gender ideology, around the difference between the reality of sex, and the social constructs of femininity and masculinity.

Justhadathought · 09/03/2020 09:11

The best way to teach that, is to model it, then reinforce it in age appropriate ways. there is nothing 'old fashioned' about basic safeguarding.

Justhadathought · 09/03/2020 09:10

There is so much that it outright wrong in this one post. But I'm not going to unpack it all right now.

If you can't or won't acknowledge the reality of womanhood then you can't begin to stand for women's rights, needs, or anything else. Womanhood by its nature is exclusive. It excludes all that is not womanhood. That is entirely valid. Unless you can define a group, how on earth can you protect its interests.

i hope you are teaching your daughter ( a little younger than my granddaughter) that she has safe boundaries -which are hers to define.

Soubriquet · 09/03/2020 09:02

I can never understand how some people get their panties in a twist trying to include trans women

So what’s in the genital area doesn’t count?

So how do you know you have a daughter?

She likes pink..well I know women who don’t

She plays with dolls...again I know women who didn’t

She wears dresses and skirts....I wear trousers

She has long hair...I know boys who have long hair

Seriously..why can’t women just be fucking women

DuLANGDuLANGDuLANG · 09/03/2020 08:53

It falls down so fast when you think of the most prominent radical feminists - not exactly the most likely bunch of women to perform femininity! Nary a false eyelash between them!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 09/03/2020 08:53

GC, I think deliberate misrepresentation is a tactic. It seems to be a recurrent theme to reverse the meaning of the counter argument. It's hand in glove with the Orwellian redefinition of words.....

Yes that's it. The more outrageously some of these people twist the argument back on someone, the bigger the thrill, too. It's something I've always noticed with transactivist rhetoric.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 09/03/2020 08:50

The word literally is bandied about with wild abandon

Rarely used correctly

DuLANGDuLANGDuLANG · 09/03/2020 08:46

It falls down so fast when you think of the most prom

BovaryX · 09/03/2020 08:43

Is this is deliberate misrepresentation, or are you really this thick?

They're no better than the misogynistic patriarchy that has oppressed women forever.

The patriarchy is now wearing a dress and lipstick. Are you really unable to see that it’s still the same old patriarchy?

wrongsideofhistorymyarse · 09/03/2020 07:46

I first came to FWR in 2011 talking about 'cis privilege'. I've learned a lot since then, mainly from the amazing women on this board.

Woman. Born, not worn.

Datun · 09/03/2020 07:12

*ask yourself

Datun · 09/03/2020 07:11

Just popping back to note how swiftly masks are a-slipping and how the endless incoherence is just getting louder and louder.

The word rattled comes to mind.

Orwx you might as yourself what sort of behaviour would your daughter display for her to be suddenly worried that she might be a boy?

And then square that away with feminism.

FemiLANGul · 09/03/2020 07:00

Thanks again @MNHQ.

Thanks for not even letting us have this one thread free of goadiness and deliberate shitstirring from the TRAs.

No doubt youd be on it like stink on shit if one of the sacred caste took a snit about something one of the GC women said on here, but you continue to prove your contempt towards us.

Thanks. A. Fucking. Bunch.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 09/03/2020 06:48

Well our one dedicated day supposed to celebrate women has been and gone, so thank you to the posters here who demonstrated so nicely the very issues we are fighting against.

Actually I don't really mean thank you, I mean fuck off.

Today I will continue to be a woman, womaning all wrongly and not shutting up and doing what men tell me to. Just like every other 364 days a year (actually we get an extra day to do this this year, 365!) Every day is a woman's day for me because I was born one and will be one until I die. Men, on the other hand, won't.

BingBongSong · 09/03/2020 01:04

Belated happy IWD to you too, McCanne!
You sound as if you've been womanning along just like the rest of us. My day wasn't so different from other days, but I did take (quite) some time out to do something for me.
